"Who thinks Sarah Palin is running?

I changed my mind on this recently. With Huckabee out, all the better she's going to do. She's in, but won't declare until October, because she wants the Republicans to be desperate for a viable candidate.

She may go for a more experienced exec for VP (though the year and a half she was Gov was a wonderful whirlwind of serious achievement).

Look for her to tap Daniels or Pawlenty. I'd especially love to see Palin/Christie or Palin/Cain, but I don't hink those are in the cards.

Which is sort of to say...she has not yet AS OF TODAY made up a decision one way or the other, I think, though she is trying to keep things moving ahead if she truly decides to run.

And I think that likely reflects reality. And that would be a rational path forward for any potential candidate. You dont’ want a decision to be made for you.

"Look for her to tap Daniels or Pawlenty."

If she does that then she will go down very far in my estimation. As far as her waiting for there to be no viable canidate she better not wait till October because by then Cain will have become such a candidate. Look at this poll he has already came from almost nowhere to number 2 and he is just starting to roll.

We need 8 years of Palin/Cain then 8 years of Cain/West. This mess wasn’t created in one four year presidential cycle and it’ll take much longer than that to be cleaned up. We have to look beyond the 4 year cycle...

Sarah Palin is a very astute politician (contrary to popular belief). She is well aware that she has an army of supporters just waiting for the signal to move out.

She has refrained from announcing early for several reasons: 1) to minimize the amount of time she and her family will be under relentless attack; 2) to ensure that she is fully prepared because she knows that even a small mistake can end her campaign and 3) to let the other candidates make stupid mistakes (and Mitt, Newt and Lil’ Mitch haven't disappointed. In fact I think it's fair to say the past week was beyond her wildest dreams).

Sarah is sizing up the field. She’ll jump in if the media starts pushing RINO type candidates. She has no fear to speak her mind to the media and tell it like it is.

Agree 110%.

In the last couple of months she has hired a Chief-of-Staff and a new Foreign policy advisor with Reagan roots.

She’s running.

Thank God!

Back when Sarah was running for VP someone ran a piece about how she was destined to be a very important and loved person that could someday, with God’s help, become president. I can’t remember who wrote it. But I remember it to this day. I wish that I could write better to get my point across. I hope somebody remembers that piece with the little bit of information I am able to convey here. If you know what I’m talking about please post it. It was a very touching piece. Wished I would have saved it.

Where do you get 18 months as Governor? She was in Office from December of 2006 until July 2009, that is a few months short of three years. Sheeesh!

Agreed. She is running right now in her own unconventional way. She will make it official when her instincts tell her the time is right. The Mama Grizzly is in the room and can’t be ignored.

She is running. Some conservatives have bought into the money grubber meme and when you think about who she is, you will see that it is ridiculous. If she wanted a life of wealth and celebrity, she wouldn’t have married Todd Palin and spent years on a smelly fishing boat. She would have pursued her sportscasting career rather than run for City Council in Wasilla. She would have kept her chairmanship of the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission rather than resign so that she could turn in a corrupt colleague.

She can write a book or do a TV show anytime, but she will probably only get one chance to run for President. This is her time and she won’t let it pass by.

So, if/when Palin decides to run, would it be appropriate to label any democrat-party detractors as misogynists? Or perhaps rapists?

(I’m trying to follow the same logic that dictates Obama detractors are racists.)
