In the mainstream media, New York Times writer, Mark Halperin opines about the picture of the late Osama bin Laden, "The White House has stumbled by violating one of Washingtons iron rules: When something becomes famous inside the Beltway for not being released, the pressure from the media to release it becomes unrelenting."
There is a corollary to that rule that inside the beltway reporters do not teach readers. If something is famous outside the Beltway for not being released the mainstream media will hunker down with the politico-celebrities they rub elbows with and depend on, so there will be little media pressure to release it.
Examples? Obamas missing background. Lost FBI notes from agent Eckenrode that might have exonerated Scooter Libby. The documents from the restricted area of the National Archive that Clinton aide Sandy Berger stole and stuffed down his pants. All the DC madams list of clients. The video of Obama that the L.A. Times declined to release. The MSM will cover every last hiccup of Sarah Palins childrens boyfriends, but not the inconsistencies of the Obama campaign trail. It will cover Bush using drones but only briefly note Obama drones in Pakistan. How accurate is the coverage of the Mississippi flooding compared to the coverage of Katrina? The current coverage of the Wisconsin judicial recount is almost non-existent compared to other election recounts. Just for fun, count how many in the MSM echo the talking point to use the word "gutsy" to describe a recent political decision.
Ah, the mainstream media, love it or hate it, you have to be careful what you read. As the curmudgeonly editor once told the cub reporter, if your mother says she loves you, check it out.

I forgot about that one. The fact that the list wasnt released tells me there were few, if any Repubs on the list.
It could also explain why certain RINOs vote the way they do.

Next time a liberal asks for a 'few examples' of media bias...
Very, very true!
They are all in for Obama. But they are Four Flushing.
