Club Gitmo to Allow Terrorists Family Visits?

FIELD TRIPS AND BIRTHDAY PARTIES CAN’T BE FAR BEHIND

Just because the Obama Regime finally realized that closing the Guantanamo Bay military prison was a much better symbolic campaign promise to Bill Maher and Rosie O’Donnell than it was a responsible, big-boy executive decision made in the best interests of the United States doesn’t mean that we can’t have a kinder, gentler GITMO. After all, as our internationalist president says, America is different.

During the 2008 campaign, Barack Obama claimed that it was imperative for the United States to close GITMO because it was being used as a “recruiting tool” by al Qaeda. (Although Navy SEALS recently provided al Qaeda with an even better recruiting tool.) So what’s a Muslim-pandering president to do?

Simple: Family visits for terrorists to “ease their isolation.” Seriously. The Pentagon, who already allows video conferences between detainees and their families, is in discussions with the International Red Crescent Cross regarding the monitoring of said visitations.

“High-value detainees” –including Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the self-proclaimed mastermind of the 9/11 attacks — would reportedly not be allowed to participate in the family-visitation program. (Although rumor has it that Obama is considering allowing KSM to participate in field trips and Easter egg hunts.)

The prospect of family visits is another indication that GITMO is unlikely to close anytime in the near future; the regime recently completed a review process for those detainees they plan to hold indefinitely — without trial. How “George Bush” of them.

Oh yeah, if Guantanamo Bay is truly a “national security risk,” as Captain Awesome claimed throughout the campaign, wouldn’t leaving it open be a dereliction of duty and an impeachable offense?

You don’t suppose that Obama purposely overstated “the GITMO problem” solely for political purposes in an effort to placate the left, do you? Nah, of course not; this president wouldn’t hear of such a thing. Just ask the Hispanics in El Paso.

Where’s the outcry from Bill Maher and Rosie O’Donnell?

The tool in the WH decried GITMO as a recruiting tool for the terrorists yet the tool in chief ordered their leader killed and brags it up to the max. Which is the bigger tool for recruiting terrorists? The tool in chief or GITMO.
