The United States does not let Indonesia or any other country tell us who our citizens are, or how or when that citizenship status can be changed. Only a person past the age of majority can renounce their U.S. citizenship. They have to do so OFFICIALLY, fill out forms etc. or serve in a foreign military or similar anti U.S. action. (traitor).
So stop already with the Indonesian citizenship angle. There isn't one.

Absolutely. This a simple choice case. Either he is NBC due to birth in America from American mother or NBC must come from two American citizen parents. Court could rule either way, but I would say that tie goes to the runner and obama would win.

I never renounced my South African citizenship BUT as I emigrated to Canada with my parents as a young child that decision was made on my behalf & today have no civil rights as a South African as I am in the eyes of the law only entitled as a Canadian.
