This is about par for the course in any pResident Obama dealie. After all, we don't really yet know exactly who he is, or how he happened, either.
I am already figuring out what the next lie will be. The latest is only one guy was armed. The next lie about why the pictures of the corpse won’t be shown: Osama had his bodyguard kill him so as not to fall into enemy hands alive. The bodyguard did such a thorough job, the head was vaporized, so no recognizable picture taking opportunity was available.
Dang...the forgotten man beat me to this premise.
Somebody who called in on the Rush show brought up an interesting point which I'm surprised no one else has picked up (at least to my knowledge) before.
He said that it is strange that everyone has claimed that the pics of OBL are gruesome and show "brain matter."
Now, as someone who has seen someone shot in the head (both real and as portrayed in movies) there is usually a small entrance wound and (depending on the caliber and type of projectile) a substantial exit wound and that is where the "brain matter" would be visible.
Not that I care if OBL was shot from the front, side or back; whether he was standing, kneeling, with his hands in the air surrendering or even sitting buck naked on the crapper, reading the Qur'an.
It just gives food for thought and simply adds to the already, FUBAR, situation.
Better Question: How many sailors indulged their urge to urinate over the side once Osama "got tossed"?
The difference is that in the previous incident the terrorist was in a holding cell -- ie. already in custody. Prolly the reason that the SEAL got charged was that the EM running the cellblock had to account for the injury in some way or take the fall himself.
And if anybody in the Obama administration had ANY military service experience they would have been more reluctant to get into details until after the debriefs you mentioned. Any combat officer knows that 75% of the data he's getting during & after a fight is probably wrong, so he must rely on his judgement as to what is 'likely true' vs. 'most-likely false'. That's the way it is in almost any fast-moving tactical situation.
Did they wait with killing Osama until such time that it was politically advantageous for Obama i.e. after he issued a phony BC?
