Libs will be deeply disturbed to know that the intel leading our magnificent SEALS to the compound where Binny was kickin it in the ‘burbs for God knows how long came from a Gitmo detainee.
We’ve listened to nearly a decade of liberal caterwauling about the sinister uselessness of the seaside resort known as Club Gitmo which wrongfully houses a bunch of harmless do gooders. Yet, their beloved president never did get around to shutting the place down.
As in all things, liberals had it completely wrong.

This is why I don’t think this will help Obama (in the long run) at all. It will come out that Gitmo, water boarding, Rumsfeld’s policies, and other things the left HATES led to all of this.
We’ll just have to cringe for a few weeks of misplaced adoration of Obama on it. And cringe we will.
They don’t give a hoot about Gitmo. When is the last time you heard a lefty talk about it?
It was just one more contrived tool to beat up Bush and Republicans and it was at the expense of the USA. Lefties are domestic enemies whether they realize it or not.

During Rumsfeld’s book tour the leftists were hounding him about waterboarding and enhanced interrogation.
He did NOT back down one bit.
You are right, which is why I give Rummy and Cheney more credit on this than Bush - because Bush through Rummy under the bus in an attempt to help his own poll numbers.
As it turns out, Rummy was right all along. Bush had a real hero in him but (probably on Rove’s advice) decided to dump him publicly.
But he will, courtesy of the MSM.
Rummy offered to resign following Abu Grahib........Bush refused to accept his resignation.
Notice how Gates/Obamao gets a free pass for the kill team in Afghanistan.
And Pretraeus, he allows the troops to receive ‘restraint’ medals.
