Who is holding the gun to your head and forcing you to click on a link to a blog?
Cluttering up my favorite site with that crap, is forcing it on me, and I don't like it. I contribute to this place regularly, and I consider it mine as much as Jim Robinson. He just takes care of all the headaches for me.

The point is that innocent people often click those infested links, unaware of the spyware/adware/flash objects/trackers/beacons and tons of “active” cookies embedded in a lot of them.
Just 2 weeks ago, one of the “blogs” cheerfully “harvested” one of my real email addresses which has since become a veritable festival of spam and garbage.
I [and most other people] deeply resent maleficent software which surreptitiously scans your system, ‘mining’ for personal data and info.
*That* is one of the major issues with bloggers.
