Birthers Appear Unimpressed with Obama Birth Certificate [Rick Moron strikes again]

The release of President Obama’s so-called “long form” birth certificate may convince a lot of straddlers on the issue that indeed, the president is eligible to be, well, president. But the surprise release by the White House of a document that conclusively proves that the president of the United States was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961, at 7:24 PM local time isn’t satisfying those whose standards of proof lie in the ethereal world of religious revelation rather than the more mundane plane of existence where facts and logic dominate.

For the true-blue, dyed-in-the-wool, never-say-never birthers, the only thing that will apparently convince them of the provenance of Obama’s birth is a document that tells them exactly what they believe — that the president wasn’t born here and is therefore ineligible to hold office. Any evidence to the contrary is dismissed as fake or forged, or is simply ignored as not worthy of their attention.

To wit: When confronted with irrefutable proof that you have been wrong all along, concentrate on minutiae that, at least in your own mind, can keep the theory alive. Here’s a comment from Roger L. Simon’s “Teachable Moment” post on the Tatler:

I have a theory that either the WH is dumb or sneaky:

Dumb - somebody in HI scanned the document in their files and sent it to the WH. Somebody there converted into a .pdf and posted it on the whitehouse.gov website. This was stupid, they should have posted the original scan, preferably a .tif even though it would have been a very large file. But it would have shut down a lot of the forgery accusations. As it is, if you open the .pdf in Adobe Illustrator you see the resulting “layers” of interpretation the software went through to compile the final document. Plus the distortion of the background caused by this conversion has people seeing WhiteOut on the original. What we are seeing is what I guess are called “artifacts” from the conversion. This makes a lot of people think it has been tampered with, but as far as I know that is just result the process the software goes through interpreting the scan. Would be better to see a high-res scan in the raw, but this is all we will get.

Sneaky - they did this on purpose. Rather than post a good clean .tif that could be examined until the cows come home looking for signs of forgery, they posted a .pdf that most people don’t understand when they start dissecting it. Possibly this was done to stoke the birther fires even more so Obama can turn his nose up at them and make them look insufferable and crazy.

My money is on dumb, based on some of the past blunders these guys have pulled, but maybe it is part of some plot to further embarass the birthers. I would just like to know why Obama didn’t do this two or three years ago before people were put in jail for refusing military orders to deploy because they didn’t believe he is a citizen. That was just mean or stubborn or arrogant, or all three.

I say we give it a couple of days and see what shakes out, I could turn out to be way off base here, but you can bet that document will be scrutinized every way possible and the results made known here on FR.

First, it’s not a long form birth certificate. It’s a certificate of Live Birth. You can see it on the top of the form. I’m pretty convinced it’s a fake.

I downloaded the file off the WH site and went through each post to see if I agreed with what some of the people think they are seeing. There are a hundred things people bring up, I tried to run each down to my own satisfaction and ended up thinking it is probably legit. Again, I could be getting fed full of bad info, but a lot of what is in there made sense to me.

Hawaii destroyed all the paper records back in 2001ish and all the info was entered into a database. Why on earth they would do that is beyond me but it appears that is the situation. Somebody in HDoH printed the files and bound them into hard copies, that is what was scanned. No, it is not the original document, but seems to be all there is now, hence the lack of what was released having the same appearance as the Nordyke BCs, which were photocopyed back in the 60s. It may even be that HI didn’t keep “LFBCs” back then, I’m not sure if that point has been settled.

Man, if only real forensics guys could get their hands on the docs that currently exist instead of some very questionable computer file. That is the only way this question might be answered. And even that might just bring up more questions. Some people think the number on the document was actually from some girl that was born the same week as BO but died. That right there could be resolved by getting access to the state records of deaths around that time, but I doubt we’ll ever see those.

This is a very spooky situation, almost like the assassination of JFK. We may never know the answers beyond everyone’s doubt.

No..Impeachment alone would not have forced Nixon to leave. There would have to have been an actual Trial in the Senate. Only if he had been convicted there would he have been removed. That’s why this whole thing with the Birth Certificate with Obama wasn’t and isn’t going anywhere with regard to remove him from Office. The House will not impeach. Period. So the only way to remove him is to vote him out. And there are a TON of non-birth certificate reason to vote him out of office. Those merit serious concentration and focus. The Birth Certificate thing is dead.

I'd go with sneaky. They purposely fouled up a perfectly genuine document in order to keep the birther thing simmering on the back burner, so that they can earn more points down the line kiboshing it more definitively. Obama is famous for saying one thing publicly but making the opposite thing happen privately. E.g., his 2004 Senate race against Jack Ryan, in which he publicly opposed the release of Ryan's divorce records as unseemly while privately urging the Chicago newspapers to go for it.

It looks like it was indeed copied on a typical copier from a bound book of documents. Unlike the PDF on whitehouse.gov, this one has none of that fakey green security pattern that fails to follow the bend of the paper. Did they do that because they read some of the birther pixel analysis of the short form, which also had the green security pattern background, and they know it will keep the birthers all wee-wee'd up and ripe for another smackdown?

I hope you’re right. But Trump is surrounded, and I mean stultifyingly surrounded, in at least 2 places he resides: NYC and Palm Beach, by solid Obama supporters. Trump’s various businesses/r.e. concerns depend on them. So I would be surprised if Trump goes in deeper. But I hope you’re right.
