“OMG. OMG. OMG. Are you really serious? You do know there is a different standard for citizenship when it comes to the Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces? You do know that right?”

Our first nine Presidents were all born in British territories and were not, by this modern standard, ‘natural born citizens’. And up until 1815 the United Kingdom considered all US citizens to also be subjects of the Crown. Under that latter definition then even Abraham Lincoln was not a ‘natural born citizen’ because at birth both of his parents had been born in the UK and and that he’d also held dual citizenship until after his fifth birthday.

My point is to stop pounding on this and to move on to something else because the Supreme Court has already made clear that they’re not interested in challenges to Obama’s qualifications.

That said, let’s focus on the next election and on subjects that will resolve this problem at noon on January 20, 2013.

Which IS covered under the law:

it says:::

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution,

“At the time of the adoption of this constitution.”

so a citizen .. just any citizen at the time of the adoption of the constitution could be president.

Do you think that Obama was a citizen at the time the constitution was adopted?
