Why did Obama release his BC today?
(1) Governor Palin has been beating him like a rented mule over Libya, oil prices, and the economy
(2) Donald Trump was driving his poll numbers into the ground and he needed to call his bluff
(3) So nobody pays attention to Bernanke's press conference
Folks, you gotta remember that Obama is trained in Saul Alinsky/radical left-wing tactics. He's going to do anything and everything to save his @ss. The BC was our trump (no pun intended) card for 2012. But noooo, the Donald had to jump in and flap his gums about it non-stop. Now the issue is off the table.
Maybe now, we can focus on the remaining eligibility issue of what "Natural Born" means and whether Obama qualifies. And why Obama is driving up energy prices and killing our economy.
It was always going to be off the table. He was saving it for 2012. Had he had the opportunity to save it until the primaries or later, he would have been able to use it as a club and nobody would have been able to question him on anything else.
Better to have it off the table, so he can be attacked over issues, not distractions.
The BC is not really off the table because he hasn’t released it yet. His status as a natural born citizen is still on the table. The man is not, nor will he ever be a natural born citizen with a Kenyan father. There are still many questions remaining to be answered....Indonesian citizenship?, student loan/financial aid status - foreign student? just to name a couple. It ain’t over cuz the fat lady didn’t sing yet...red

How could that have worked for us - considering how easily he produced it? Seems more likely it would have blown up in our face.

If unemployment, inflation, and the war(s) are all going badly at reelection time he loses.
Trump has now---forutnately or unfortuantely---leap frogged almost everyone else.
I don’t see how any of those help him all that much. Coverage for the Bernanke conference might be the only thing it slows down. I don’t think the BC would be a major issue in 2012 regardless, unless some major discovery was made that proved him to have knowingly lied about his biography.
I think Donald’s in on this, (why isn’t he hammering O on issues like Libya and economy ) and I believe this is diabolical. Absolutely meant to confound and confuse, yes something else is going on for sure...what is Bernanke talking about?
Would you rather have had Obama pull out his BC during a presidential debate, instead of 18 mos. out?
The economy, inflation and gas prices are not going away. I think Trump’s candidacy just ended because of the release of the birth certificate. However, that’s a powerful weapon that 0bama no longer has.
I can’t see how this touches Sarah Palin. The focus will be Trump. Sarah may come out with something about this, but she took it to him over Libya...
I don’t think the BC was a trump card. Obammy has so many issues we could flog him with and the eligibility was the least likely one to be resolved.
After all, we have an administration suing states over the will of their voters, is pointlessly involving us in an African civil war at a standstill, and is singlehandedly destroying our economy. I could add a dozen more major issues but don’t know where to begin.
If those issues alone aren’t enough to remove him, he can’t be removed.
But it should never have been - because Obama's flying monkeys have always had the ability to manufacture any document they need. Some Republicans frequently dismissed here as "RINOs" were nonetheless wise enough to understand that.
Trump has made Republicans look like idiots for giving him any consideration at all. A “thanks but no thanks” was called for.

This makes absolutely no sense. If the BC issue is now off the table because Obama released his long form, how in the heck would it have been our "trump" card in 2012?
The BC stuff was NEVER going to be a serious issue in 2012. In fact, it is good for us that Hussein finally released the long form. Now we can get on to talking about real issues such as BHO's utter failure to manage the economy, utter failure to keep energy prices affordable, foreign policy debacles, etc.
Obama is a terrible President. We can beat him in 2012 if we run an issue oriented campaign focused primarily on the lousy economy.
But I have to agree that Trump has been far ahead of everyone else with the concept that "Obama may not be who he appears to be."
I have to take my hat off to the man.
