Harvard grads are (especially undergrads) sometimes the most poorly educated, never seen anything but a TA, dumbest bastards on the earth.

Guess that means you'd rather have a community college educated Thorasic Surgeon operate on you than one from Harvard Med.........

Your broad brush incrimination of Harvard grads does an extreme disservice to those who indeed struggled to gain acceptance and ultimately graduate from that university........

Most of our leaders have come from Yale and Harvard and look where are country is at today? I can see why he thinks this.

Furthermore, I have seen more successful people come from State Universities, college dropouts and even people with a high school diploma. Ivy league graduates behave as if they do not have to work any more... since they went to an Ivy League. I’m sorry but that is just the way they comes across. They have some sort of elitist superior attitude even though most of them end up not being that successful.

Here is a small list of successful people without an Ivy league degree.

Henry Ford (FORD)
Bill Gates (Microsoft)
Larry Ellison (Oracle)
Larry Page (Google)
Michael Dell (Dell Computers)
Paul Allen (Microsoft)
Steve Jobs (Apple)
David Geffen (Geffen Records)
Richard Branson (Virgin)
Ralph Lauren (Ralph Lauren Clothing)
Jerry Yang (Yahoo)
Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook)
Jawed Karim (YouTube)

Now there are a lot more than this, but these are the well known dropouts. Getting back to the original point. I just don’t have as much respect for the Ivy Leagues as I use to. If I was hiring and I had two applicants. One from a State college and the other from an Ivy league. I would probably hire the one from the State college. This is because I believe that State graduate would be more productive than the Ivy league applicant. I’m sorry but that just has been my experience.

Well, if you mean do I want a good doctor? Harvard can go give itself an enema and research what comes out (see non-threatening link and do some research). Or, as pappy used to say, find a dead horse and spend the day looking up its arse to see why it died...

I am not one that thinks these clowns from Ivy schools shit marble as you seem to. The broad brush is not my own, you see. Between the legacies, the gimmes and the poor quality of undergrad teaching, you might be surprised to learn that Hahvahd is not all its cracked up to be.

Oh. By the way, I let the thorasic (sic) slide by without a comment and I assume you know there are probably not many folks who are certified by The American Board of Thoracic Surgery, but this asinine assumption that there have been no dumb chums coming from the ivy halls is really amusing.

Think Edward “Ted” Kennedy (D-HELL) dumber than a mule and murderer. Extraordinary example. Does anyone on the planet still deny he cheated his way through school? Or that he was a legacy?

Broad brush my Irish arse.

As a proud alumnus and regular attendee of the bar parlor of Nick’s Beef and Beer House, I take offense.
