We here a lot about show business people deriding the military and bashing our society in general I thought that when there is something to the contrary, credit should be given where due.
At the link below is a clip from another venue on the current tour:

Here's another with better sound, and a bit more more eye candy:

None. Lots of clapping and cheering though.

thats because a Communist and Muslim is occupying the White House.
To: Tea Party Reveler
Nope, he’s been doing it for years. Second clip is from 2004, at the Royal Albert Hall.

Obama "supports" the troops, too. That doesn't stop him and his slack-jawed followers from deriding them, and throwing away their lives for political gain.
Talk is cheap.

All I know is the man has publicly, on numerous occasions, stated his support for troops of both the U.S. and his native country. He has donated free tickets for his concerts to service members and their families. He has not, so far as I know, used his soapbox to deride anyone connected to the military.
This from someone who was very leftist as a younger man. Maybe the 84% taxation he fled back in jolly old England changed his viewpoint a little bit over the years. In any event, he should at least be recognized for what he HAS done. Yes, talk is cheap. Talking trash is even cheaper.

Yup, I have that issue! He has another layout back in his home across the Pond.

How did this play with Stevie Nicks?

Basically, Stevie is a warm up act on this tour. She comes out first, then joins Rod after the stage is reset for two songs. At the end of her set, she did ask for everyone to pray for the planet, with all the troubles in the world today.

Love Rod Stewart. Saw him in concert when I lived in S.CA. Thanks for the post. Always good to know when someone recognizes the sacrifices the military makes.

Good for him.
These kind of public shows supporting the troops are too rare.

I'm actually not really a big fan of Rod Stewart's music. My wife loves him and the concert was a a b-day present for her. My favorite Rod Stewart song is one no one's ever heard of.

Rod's been that way for decades. If you have any doubts, just watch the video for
Rhythm Of My Heart from back in 1990.
