I think that's pretty evident, given the fact that he's allowed this issue to damage him for nearly three years now. He would have shut it down LONG ago, if he had any ability to do so.
I don't trust Donald Trump as far as I can throw him, but I'm very glad that he's provided the air cover for the leading Republican presidential contenders to step out front with the issue.
It's my hope that Trump will beat Obama to a pulp, then gracefully step away from the primary. That is the ideal scene.

I don’t really trust Trump either so I am waiting to see what he does about getting in the race. If he gets in as a Republican and gets in the debates then we can all decide for ourselves about him. The smear machine is really starting to open up on him so he is doing somethng right.
