Well, if you haven't heard of it, it must mean that it's entirely impossible, or something.

Gee, I wonder why it's SOP for the US military to have inerting systems on all its combat aircraft and many logistical aircraft?

Aircraft engineers on commercial aircraft have suggested such systems on passengers aircraft YEARS before this tragedy. Why wasn't it required? Too expensive - the cost-benefit math didn't make sense.

It still doesn't make sense, but that doesn't mean there isn't a danger.

Jet fuel just wont light off that easy.Av gas is another story.I also find it strange that the center fuel tank was empty on a transatlantic flight just after takeoff.weird

Maybe those "aircraft engineers" can explain how kerosene vapor was made to burn explosively at a pressure altitude of 14,000' without being compressed?
