. . . . .
During an email conversation with one of my radio show listeners -- retired airline pilot JetDriver2 -- the topic of the DC-10 aircraft came up then quickly shifted over to TWA 800 and its mysterious plunge from the sky over Long Island. The conversation went from there. With his permission I have reprinted it here.

TWA was acquired by American two months after my retirement in Nov 2000. We never recovered from the July 1996 shoot-down of TWA 800 described by Jack Cashill in his book First Strike. This was a massive cover-up (for which I have personal evidence) ordered by Bill Clinton, who also ordered the assassination of Ron Brown described in another Cashill book Ron Browns Body which I recently read.
Yes TWA 800 was absolutely shot down. The FAA knows it and the FBI knows it. There was explosive residue on the seat cushions and a hole in the reconstructed fuselage. Many pieces of the wreckage were confiscated by the FBI and never seen again, including pieces identified by TWA volunteers working in the hangar at Calverton as showing missile damage.
There is no way that jet fuel fumes in an empty center fuel tank could have blown up that plane. Jet fuel is not volatile and is very difficult to ignite, nor was there enough energy in the residual fuel in the center tank to produce an explosion of that magnitude. There is testimony on this point by scientists.
There is an audiotape of an ANG helicopter pilot who was a former Navy Search and Rescue pilot in Vietnam, and who is also an attorney on Long Island. He was shooting a practice approach in the direction of the TWA 800 explosion. He testified that he saw the missile trail and he saw the explosion it was an ordnance explosion, not a fuel explosion. This guy is familiar with anti-aircraft missiles and with military ordnance. Read the entire piece at The Radio Patriot.
This former Freeper was banned, partly due to his conspiracy theories regarding TWA 800. If you want the details, you can go to his website...Whatreallyhappened.com.
Please don tinfoil hat before reading.
Maybe those "aircraft engineers" can explain how kerosene vapor was made to burn explosively at a pressure altitude of 14,000' without being compressed?
The delusional mouth breathers working over time?
Does anyone remember the two reporters that took seat samples and had them tested? Missile, orange or red i believe, was found on those seats. The government tried and convicted them both. Cover up? YES!
I seem to remember a story about some “middle Eastern Males” who rented a boat and never returned it. They later found the boat on the shore.
It seems to reason that since Clinton { and all liberals} dont care about Islamic terrorism , they would never have looked into it.
And did TWA ever file a insurance claim for the lost jet?
Agree, but not a large missile, more like RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile) and 5” DP (Dual Purpose) gunfire.
The RAM launchers carry either 11 or 21 rounds per launcher. I never was a RAM guy, but the system requires no radar director. Originally the warhead was fitted with a guidance package thermal guidance package similar to FIM - 92A (Stinger and the AIM - 7 Sparrow, but more like a Sea Sparrow (Air to Surface) designed to plot CPA (Closest Point of Approach). The range linearly is almost 12 NM (Nautical Miles) and engagement ranges between 5 and 7 NM.
The average 5” Mk 42 and Mk 45 mounts can loose a ROF (Rate of Fire) at approximately 30 - 40 rounds per minute. Each projectile weighing 70 pounds (this was before submunitions and GPS guidance) of blast fragmentation.
The damage I saw from the pictures of TWA 800 are indicative of blast fragmentation warhead damage. Most of the 70 pound weight is involved in a cylinder of stacked and pre-nicked tungsten carbide rings (like sliced pine apple) locked into and around a PETN burster the diameter of a male thumb, running the length of the shell less the fuse.
A large missile launch, like we’ve seen in videos would resemble a shuttle launch in the middle of the night. The sky would light up like crazy. Similarly, a “ripple fire” of RAM - the standard tactic would also light up the sky, yet you would see a staccato of flashes from the repetitive launches from one or two launchers.
Just want to toss in my thoughts with actual weapons usage.
