These "The US Navy shot down TWA 800" stories are so idiotic, so ridiculously stupid and outrageously inane, people who suggest them, peddle them and hint at them need to be ridiculed with unbridled passion.

To launch a missile from a US Navy ship requires the EXPLICIT compliance both before and after the fact of literally hundreds of people. HUNDREDS - none of whom have come forward, not one - no one, nada, zip, zero.

The government (apparently) can keep that secret, but they can't keep some fraternity hazing pictures secret from Abu Grahib, or a bank monitoring program in Switzerland, or the communications between ambassadors and Secretaries of State.

The stupidity and gullibility of some of our citizens is remarkable, even breathtaking.

I'm sure all the people who witnessed this directly or MUSt have known about the missing ordinance either on the ship, on the bridge, in the weapon's stores, in the ordinance supply ships, or in the logistics and procurement offices must all be buried next to the space aliens from Roswell, NM.

I have always had questions about this. In how many airliner “accidents” can anyone recall that the FBI was in charge? I don’t remember any.

If after the investigation got going and it was determined there was no foul play then why did the FBI continue to run the investigation right to the end? Why not just turn it back over to the people at the NTSB?

I used to have a few more questions but as time has gone buy I don’t remember them anymore.

I knew a man who was a Boeing crash inspector - worked for Boeing. I asked him about TWA800 about 10 years ago.

He said, “It was a missile.”

Did anyone ever stop to think that these scammers like “Radio Patriot” are all, in the end, selling something from their or a linked website.

The more emotional BS they can post, the more fools come to their sites.

It's all about $, and moving them from our pockets to theirs.

i read the book
what makes no sense is there have been millions of those flights and only one went down like that.

a cover up seems plausible.

Interesting revisit of an obvious missle-shootdown of TWA 800

I have not paid much attention to the shoot-down in recent years....but when you have 100s of witnesses who saw something hit that plane...not all those witnesses are liars

No way...no way all of them are lying

Scary is that you have people who will defend the government line, at all costs. Even scarier is that the “Missle-Deniers” are backing the Clinton Admin version of events.

Clinton conspiracy? Bill Clinton? The 42nd President of the US, Bill Clinton? He covered up the TWA 800 frayed wire in the center fuel tank explosion that would have kept right on happening if they hadn’t ground all of that ticking timebomB-747 model that hadn’t blown up already? That was a missile? Get real. No one would dare try anything like that! Especially not the islamists, they were scared of Clinton. And the death Ron Brown, too? Clinton had him killed? Like on “The Clinton Death List”? Riiiight. That’s illegal. Never could have happened. Next you’ll tell me the terrorist cult at Waco didn’t burn themselves and their compound to the ground in a mass suicide? That’d be like, getting away with murder and mass murder...c’mon, that couldn’t happen or that all those missing FBI files wasn’t just an accident, or that Hillary isn’t really an incredible cattle futures trader? That’s just crazy...she’d be in jail with Web Hubble, not SOS and Clinton would have been put in jail with Web Hubble, not on the speaker circuit. I suppose you think obama isn’t a NBC? *Whew* Y’all are just plain crazy nuts here. You’re all too smart not to know better than that. D’oh! The media would have reported it! And they didn’t! Duh

Does anyone remember the two reporters that took seat samples and had them tested? Missile, orange or red i believe, was found on those seats. The government tried and convicted them both. Cover up? YES!

Agree, but not a large missile, more like RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile) and 5” DP (Dual Purpose) gunfire.

The RAM launchers carry either 11 or 21 rounds per launcher. I never was a RAM guy, but the system requires no radar director. Originally the warhead was fitted with a guidance package thermal guidance package similar to FIM - 92A (Stinger and the AIM - 7 Sparrow, but more like a Sea Sparrow (Air to Surface) designed to plot CPA (Closest Point of Approach). The range linearly is almost 12 NM (Nautical Miles) and engagement ranges between 5 and 7 NM.

The average 5” Mk 42 and Mk 45 mounts can loose a ROF (Rate of Fire) at approximately 30 - 40 rounds per minute. Each projectile weighing 70 pounds (this was before submunitions and GPS guidance) of blast fragmentation.

The damage I saw from the pictures of TWA 800 are indicative of blast fragmentation warhead damage. Most of the 70 pound weight is involved in a cylinder of stacked and pre-nicked tungsten carbide rings (like sliced pine apple) locked into and around a PETN burster the diameter of a male thumb, running the length of the shell less the fuse.

A large missile launch, like we’ve seen in videos would resemble a shuttle launch in the middle of the night. The sky would light up like crazy. Similarly, a “ripple fire” of RAM - the standard tactic would also light up the sky, yet you would see a staccato of flashes from the repetitive launches from one or two launchers.

Just want to toss in my thoughts with actual weapons usage.

Maybe if the media had done its job back then, we would not be where we are today. After this cover up, I realized just how phony the mainstream media actually was the phoniness has only become much more obvious since then.
