It is insulting for you to attack Mary Toutonghi’s memory as an “aging” one. A woman who has a child, her first, remembers nearly everything about the events of her first child’s first years of life. This woman would certainly remember whether or not she was caring for two diaper-able babies or a baby and a toddler, the toddler being her very own child. Mary Toutonghi mistakenly told the truth, unfortunately for the Obama apologists. Her second story, told only after the discrepancy was pointed out, is suspect. There’s a legal theory about the first statement being most likely to be truthful. Ask any cop what he or she thinks. Upon being questioned, Mary Toutonghi also lamely and unbelievably said that she has no photographs from that time in her life—the years during which her first child was born. Does that sound likely?

When was Mary supposed to have babysat obama? If it was fall of 61, that would have put her baby at just over 2 years old, and certainly still in diapers.

I disagree. While a mother will certainly have a relatively good memory regarding her own children, in this case a memory of a different child that is not her own is involved, a child with whom she had only a fleeting association.

Documents are always preferable to memory and with SADO we have documents the public record available to anyone showing SADO at U of HI with BHO Sr. in the fall of 1960, not having just delivered an infant as would be required if Toutonghi's memory was from January 1961. We have a publicly available HI vital record index showing a marriage of SADO to BHO Sr. (and not some mystery Anna Obama) and a publicly available 10 of 11 pages of a divorce filing showing a claim in 1964 of the marriage on Feb 2, 1961 in HI. (BTW, that marriage was likely bigamous, IMO, and would NOT make Barry a dual-citizen under the 1948 BNA exclusions.)

There is no evidence of a mystery Asian "Anna Obama" who was ever married to BHO Sr. or linked with Toutonghi in WA at any time. SADO arrived in WA as documented by the public record of the U of WA and the rental records and in less reliable interviews with her classmates.

Poor Mary, Charlette LeFevre from SEATTLE MYSTERY TOURS wanted SO much to add another celebrity to her collection, SHE identified ANNA OBAMA - whose listing she found in the directory, as Stanley Ann Dunham.

At first interview, as you have pointed out, Mary herself only said she baby-sat for ANNA when her own daughter was 18 months of age. Her daughter was born in July, 1959.

To quote Charlette LeFevre - in January 2009:

“...During our first interview, Mary referred to Stanley Ann Dunham as ³Anna² not knowing that it was the same name as what was listed in the Seattle City Directory. This verified for us that indeed Mary had known Ann Dunham.”

“... She recalls as best she can the dates she baby sat Barack as her daughter was 18 months old and was born in July of 1959 and that would have placed the months of baby sitting Barack in January and February of 1962.

SEE THE ‘MISTAKE’? ADD 18 MONTHS TO JULY 1959 AND THE DATE IS IN JANUARY 1961! (NOT 1962!)

Then later Charlette adds this to her statements:

[Note: 9/3/09: I believe Mary’s daughter was older than what she remembered which would account for the age discrepency].

If it wasn’t so patently ABSURD one might be tempted to laugh.
