I am a retired CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner and I have been professionally trained to scrutinize claims regarding alleged evidence with an eye to determining whether the claims and supposed evidence actually constitute potential LEGAL evidence that can be proved up in a legal proceeding.
I try to NEVER overstate the quality of evidence while ALWAYS being open to inconsistencies and hints that a narrative of events may be false.
Corroboration is extremely important when assessing claimed evidence as is clear falsification by other evidence, if available.
I have high regard for Fred Nerks and find his photo archive to be extremely valuable, but in my opinion, numerous claims by Fred Nerks FAIL to meet my standards for evidence that can be remotely relied on to the exclusion of other evidence.
Fred Nerks repeatedly demands that FReepers embrace his claims as solid evidence (lots of all-caps “yelling”) when, IMO, his claims are merely uncorroborated speculations based on inconsistencies he has detected, often in highly unreliable newspaper articles or unreliable personal memory of single individuals.
Here are just some the currently relevant examples of “evidence” put forward by Fred Nerks (FN) which I reject:
1. Obama Sr. left Kenya shortly after completing HS. FN bases this on a statement from memory in a newspaper story decades after the fact by an official at Sr.’s HS who last saw Sr. in 1953 when Sr. was 17 years old.
2. Obama left Kenya in 1955. FN bases this claim not on a quote from Sr. “in his own words” as FN claims, but in the recounting of Sr.’s biography by a reporter in the 1962 story that Obama/Ayers appear to refer to in “Dreams”. The reporter says that Obama was last in Kenya seven years earlier. The reporter does not attribute this statement to Sr. himself. The statement is not corroborated by any other evidence and is refuted by substantial evidence that Sr. left Kenya in 1959 after fathering two children bearing his name with Kezia who were born in 1959 and 1960.
3. Per FN the Anna Obama recorded as being in Seattle from Sept. 1961 to August 1962 was NOT Stanley Ann Dunham. There is substantial corroborative evidence, IMO that it was SADO.
4. FN says that the U of WA transcript for SADO showing her there and also the transcript of the U of HI showing SADO transferring credits from WA to HI for her HI degree could have been faked. But anyone can obtain these public records for the deceased SADO and numerous folks report that they have. Similarly FN claims that the HI transcript showing SADO in Russian class in HI in Fall 1960 could have been faked, supposedly supporting FN’s claim that Sr. and SADO never met.
5. FN claims we should consider evidence that Obama was born in January 1961 instead of August. He bases this on two bits of “evidence”:
a. a US based computer database printout showing a birthdate of 8-1-61, which FN claims was actually showing a birthday of January 8, 1961. How about a data entry clerk fat-fingered a “1” instead of a “4”?
b. In a newspaper interview decades after the fact, aging Mary Toutonghi tries to recall how old her own child was at the time she babysat Barry and she guesses her child was 18 months old and says it is from memory in the newspaper story. From this guess, which results in a date of January 1961, Fred Nerks would have us believe the baby Mary was sitting for was:
i. NOT Barry, but a different mystery baby Obama, who was either the son of a different mystery Anna Obama, or...
ii. WAS Barry, but Barry was born much earlier, say in 1960 if he was several months old when this WA babysitting supposedly accrued in January 1961 when Toutonghi’s baby would have been 18 months old.
I reject all of these uncorroborated claims by Fred Nerks as failing to rise even to the level of being speculatively valid as evidence.
IMO, Fred Nerks, while providing invaluable actual photo evidence concerning all things Obama, Kenya, Ghana and Malcolm X, seems to me to be trying to fit the evidence into his favored personal theory as to who Barry's parents were rather than letting the evidence stand on its own, one corroborated fact at a time.
It is insulting for you to attack Mary Toutonghi’s memory as an “aging” one. A woman who has a child, her first, remembers nearly everything about the events of her first child’s first years of life. This woman would certainly remember whether or not she was caring for two diaper-able babies or a baby and a toddler, the toddler being her very own child. Mary Toutonghi mistakenly told the truth, unfortunately for the Obama apologists. Her second story, told only after the discrepancy was pointed out, is suspect. There’s a legal theory about the first statement being most likely to be truthful. Ask any cop what he or she thinks. Upon being questioned, Mary Toutonghi also lamely and unbelievably said that she has no photographs from that time in her life—the years during which her first child was born. Does that sound likely?
Fred Nerks has posted a copy of the newspaper article from one of the Honolulu papers in which 0bama Sr is stating that he hasn't been in Kenya for 7 years; article is dated 1962. He's posted this copy a couple of times. Not trying to be argumentative, just a correction. The article might be earlier on this thread; but it's on at least 2 threads. (courtesy ping to Fred Nerks.)
