Yes, one can have both--and sociopathy/psychopathy crosses over into narcissistic or histrionic personality disorders. Of sociopathic traits, I'd say President Obama is closer to "selfish, callous and remorseless use of others" (more narcissistic/histrionic) than "chronically unstable, antisocial and socially deviant lifestyle." The latter is more associated with violent and early criminality, while narcissistic personality disorder leans toward more charm and manipulativeness.

Again, I'm not a professional, and I haven't studied this topic in quite some time nor have I read "The Sociopath Next Door," so my answer is general and probably contains some debatable points.

A psychiatrist friend once told me that anyone who runs for POTUS has to have a large dose of narcissism to stand up to all the scrutiny of today's campaigns--I think Barack Obama has an overdose.
