If the dollar tanks due to Obama’s failed fiscal and monetary policy, then the price of gas will at least double from these levels.

How much pain is this turd and all his turd buddies suffering?
The high gas prices are bad enough, but then when a person looks at food and clothing prices that goes up because of the price of gas and it makes it worse.
If these perfumed princes lived in the real world and had to endure the hardships that this regime caused, they would be the first to piss and moan.

This reminds me of Jimmy Carter suggesting everyone “get used to” high oil prices and wear a sweater.

Paying a few dollars more at the pump will encourage people to cut back on unnecessary trips and use public transit when they have to travel. If were going to save the planet we all have to make sacrifices.
Keep it up Obama, the nails in your coffin are looking mighty good.
The voters will be the final judges.

...the President cited the fact that I work from a home office. Im not driving to work, burning hydrocarbons, adding to traffic congestion and air pollution. And when I find I do have to go out I never drive alone. I always carpool with a couple of bodyguards. And Presidential family vacations? Obama could carpool for 10 years and he wouldn't make up for the energy used in the last 18 months of vacations...

So, just think of higher fuel prices as kind of a stick to help persuade more people to make the changes in their behavior that are required to clean the air. Sounds like a line from a WWII movie.

The current surge in gas prices is not due to crude oil supply or prices. It is due to refinery supply as refineries shift from winter formula to summer formula.
The funny thing is that of the 40 some odd formulas imposed by the EPA on specific local areas, there is no scientfic rhyme or reason to any of them. The approved formula is driven by political and bureaucratic decisions, not science.
The EPA could, with a straight face, say “Any of the approved formulas can be used anywhere until unemployment hits 4%” and the price would drop over 30 cents a gallon immediately and probably over 40 cents a gallon mid-term.
