Donald Trump has written a letter complaining about me.
“Her storytelling ability and word usage (coming from me, who has written many bestsellers), is not at a very high level,” he penned.
Although Trump and I have had our differences in the past, I never felt it was personal. In fact, until now, I have refrained from noting that I once got an aggrieved message from him in which he misspelled the word “too.”
But about the letter. Mainly, it’s a list of alleged evidence that Barack Obama was not born in the United States. Trump has made this the centerpiece of his faux presidential campaign, falling further and further into the land of the lunatic fringe. I find this a disturbing spectacle — a little like seeing a guy you know from the neighborhood suddenly turn up in the middle of Times Square with his face painted blue and yelling about space aliens.
“Bill Ayers wrote ‘Dreams From My Father,’ I have no doubt about it,” Trump told Joe Scarborough, who reported on Politico.com.
Ayers is the former ’60s radical who became a huge Republican talking point in 2008 because he had once given a house party for Obama when he was running for state senate. It’s a pretty big jump from coffee and cookies to writing an entire book, but I guess that’s what neighbors are for....

Donald first mentioned the 0bama records story is very strange.
You can get the short form BC from Hawaii. You can pay the $20.00 fee and get the long form Birth Certificate. 0bama chooses to pay $2,000,000 to keep his records secret.

I agree, they will try to present a distorted image of Trump.
The challenge will be to overcome the wellknown image and brand already in place.

Definitely. If he can prove he is a natural born citizen, now would be the time. He should plaster it on his forehead and make us all look like fools. But he can't.
I love how Trump slipped in “...0bama was born there-no bills, no doctors names, no nurses names, no registrations, no payments.....”
I suspect all investigators conclude this lack of a paper trail, which is not sealed by 0bama, is Very Strange.
Maybe CNN and the rest of the MSM could go find those documents. They could start looking in Bill Ayers basement

1. Having said that, I am loving every minute of the Trump -newsmedia fight: The news media attacks Trump as crazy, then Trump, in response, counter-attacks with even harsher language. And back and forth we go. Amazing.
2. I wonder if the news media people realize that they are playing right into Trump's hand by jumping all over him when Trump asks to see Obama's birth certificate.
3. This is how I see it:
a. Trump makes a critical statement about Obama's refusal to release his long form birth certificate.
b. News media people come out of the woodwork and start attacking Trump like calling him crazy.
c. Trump fights back by responding to the news media attack.
d. My point is this: Every time a news media person attacks Trump, like Collins and O'Donnell---like saying that Trump should be fired from NBC---the news media person does not realize that he is simply giving Trump another excuse to go on tv and the radio to defend himself and talk about the Obama long form birth certificate controversy.
e. That is, instead of forcing Trump to keep quiet and stop his discussion of the Obama birth certificate controversy by ridiculing him, the news media's criticism and ridicule of Trump is having the opposite effect: It is keeping Trump continually in the news because he naturally has to publicly defend him against the media's ugly attacks, and, in the proces, Trump's visits all over the talk shows is attracting the attention of people who normally would NOT care what Trump had to say about anything.
f. So, instead of succeeding in silencing Trump with their criticism and ridicule, the news media, instead unknowingly is increasing Trump's popularity, and more and more people every day , especially voters, are starting to wonder what this Trump-Obama long form birth certificate is all about.
g. So I say this to the media: Continue to jump all over Trump, because the more you jump all over him , the more chances Trump has to defend himself, and in the process, the more Trump gets to go on tv and the radio to talk about his world-wide search for the elusive Obama long form birth certificate.
4. But I bet I know one person who wishes beyond hope that the media would just stop attacking Trump so that Trump would stop fighting back: I am referring to Obama, and, especially to Obama and his scared---to---death Obama camp.
5. Sorry to say, but I think that there is a good chance that Trump may NEVER get his hands on any important Obama documents like his long form birth certificate and his college records no matter how much money Trump spends. or how hard he tries, because Obama's people probably have covered Obama's tracks too well.
6. However, I believe that between now and election day Nov. 2012, Obama and his staff will have nightly nightmares as he thinks about the serious damage Trump is doing to Obam'a life and campaign the deeper we go into the presidential campaign season.
7. I also believe that Obama and his staff wet their pants everytime Trump appears on tv and radio talk shows demanding that Obama show the public his long form birth certificate, or they look for the nearest hole to crawl into at the White House to try to get away from that crazy Trump person who is making life miserable for them.
He would sweep the floor with her, like he did with the gal on Today's show!!
He did also the same with the bunch on Joe's morning show!!!
A huge scandal may wake some of them up.

I haven’t followed the Trump stuff closely other than him questioning the birth certificate snafu...
But I have to hand it to Gail, if she hadn’t mentioned Trump accusing Bill Ayers of writing O’s memoir...

I’m afraid the Ninth Circus will allow limited discovery - the forged long-form will be admissible but not the transaction logs that show it to be a forgery.
What would potentially stop that is if a state showed some sign of passing an eligibility bill that would specifically allow registered voters to challenge eligibility in court with specific authorization to access the transaction logs and complete vital records history that would show any tampering with the records. Or if those records were required to be submitted to the SOS along with the birth certificate.
I know it’s said that AZ is expected to take up (and potentially pass) their eligibility bill next week. I don’t know if they can add amendments to provide for the above. I’ve tried to contact Seel, but it is really hard for one person among all the voices to be heard or taken seriously. And to be truthful, not all the e-mails I send actually get delivered.
If people could contact the AZ legislators and let them know this is important it would improve the odds that they even get the message.
Where is the nurse or doctor to come forth and brag and say they delivered Obama? You would think someone would be proud of it. In fact you could contact all doctors and nurses at those two Honolulu hospitals who delivered children in 1961. Ask each one if he knew anything about Obama's birth. Births from mixed white-black couples were very rare in Hawaii

Where has Obama been this whole time that Trump’s been talking about this? There’s been a battle over the budget and military action in Libya, and where has Obama been?
One of the things I love about what Trump is doing is that he is rightly attacking Obama for not disclosing it and the media for demonizing anybody who wants to see it.
The media is squarely in the middle of everything that is wrong with America right now. America will always be hostage to the misinformed idiots in this country unless the MSM loses credibility even with that class of people. Trump is a person who they may listen to, he’s brought the battle right to the places where the misinformed get their disinformation, and he’s using that very platform to show that the platform itself has been totally negligent on this issue.
I don’t know exactly what Trump’s end goal is. I’d like to believe it’s love of this country and disgust over what we’ve become that compels him. Certainly he’s placed his legacy on the line over this, which is in many ways similar to what Lakin did. Regardless of any of that, the techniques he is using are sheer genius and a service to this entire nation.
I doubt that the Donald “misspelled” the word too.
