Moore’s comments seem to favor a totalitarian state where the government can just nullify free elections that do not conform with their interests.

The erroneous vote totals were the ones reported to a news organization (AP). The correct vote totals were reported to the Wisconsin Secretary of State. The only totals that count are the ones reported to the Wisconsin Secretary of State.

If the AP news organization had wanted actual vote totals, it should have waited until they were released by the Wisconsin Secretary of State. However, The Associated Press was in a hurry to "scoop" the other news organizations and it relied upon preliminary but unverified vote totals.
