Donald Trump (Birther-N.Y.) is at it again. In double-barrelled interviews on NBCs Today Show and MSNBCs Morning Joe, Trump continued his disgusting and dangerous dabbling in the disproved conspiracy theory that President Obama was not born in the United States. This might be good for the ratings of his television show. This might even be good for his business. But it is terrible for the nation and public discourse that someone who claims to be so smart is so willing to perpetuate a lie.
(VIDEO AT LINK)
Alex Koppelman snipped this strand of the conspiracy in Dec. 2008 and again in July 2009. And hell most likely have to do it again now that Trump has embraced the fallacy with both hands. This all stemmed from a interview of Sarah Obama, the second wife of the presidents grandfather, by Ron McRae, a street preacher, through a translator over the phone. As Koppelman reported in 2009, Sarah Obama is not the presidents biological grandmother, but he calls her Granny Sarah.
In a clear lost-in-translation moment (and over an international phone line), which you can listen to in full here, Mrs. Obama said she was there for her grandsons birth. When McRae asks where in Mombassa the president was born, the translator, Vitalis Akech Ogombe, repeatedly corrected him....

" I dont think there is enough popcorn in the world for what is to come nextespecially if Trump has got the goodswhatever they may be.
If it should happen, I intend to enjoy every glorious second of it! "
That's why ? if the Cable TV executives should not wait, they had better have things ready and TV time to want to get in on the biggest crime, political scam and scandal ever seen in the world.
They had better start signing up contracts now for TV time for they could make big money for the biggest TV ratings ever seen for TV world wide.

I’ve been watching, basically he rants about China, talks about how he’d ‘get tough’ and blathers about not being a whipping post. His rhetoric is emptier than Obama’s, and now that he’s on the birther train it’s the only thing anyone asks him about.
He’s not a serious candidate and the more attention paid to him the worse for the rest of the field, because they will be compared to him, which will make them look silly.

Never woulda thought I’d say this but President Trump may not have such a bad ring to it after all.
Wouldn’t you like to see him in a debate with The Usurper on the economy/trade with China/energy issues or just about anything else?
Oh, the sheer anticipation, the viewing of which would require a gigantic bowl of popcorn with extra butter and a huge rootbeer float with Gilles custard.

Hes not a serious candidate and the more attention paid to him the worse for the rest of the field, because they will be compared to him, which will make them look silly. The recent polls says Trump is a big contender. You get to find out in June when his TV show "The Celebrity Apprentice" ends if Trump is a serious candidate. He has to wait by law until then to announce his presidential candidacy or pull the TV show. One or the other.

" As soon as that poll came out showing Trump tied with Huckabee among NH primary voters, the MSM turned up the heat. They now recognize his potential to do serious damage to Obama, and they are going to have to "Palin" him. And frankly, I don't think anybody can survive that kind of concerted media effort to diminish somebody's standing through constant ridicule. They did it to Bush. They did it to Palin. They even changed how Joe Schmoe views Glenn Beck. And now they're going to do it to Trump."
The problem is ? they picked the wrong person to go up against.
Trump lives for this kind of thing.
How is NBC going to ridicule someone who has their highest rating TV show ?

Exactly correct. It’s like her realizes that granny is spilling the beans and tries to correct her with the lie, but she doesn’t get it. It’s almost as if she was wondering why the translator was telling her to lie.
