Hey, General Petraeus, OF COURSE it is, “…hateful,… intolerant and…extremely disrespectful,” to burn the koran. That’s the point!
They want us to be cowed by their religion, forced to be told what we can or can’t do, because of their death-cult religion. They have been extorting the world with their terror, because of that book!
Is it burning one book that is responsible for the innocent deaths of hundreds of thousands of muslims and infidels worldwide? OR, 26% of the muslims IN THIS COUNTRY who follow that book thinking suicide bombings are legitimate? OR, filthy pedophile following imams preaching from that book around the world calling for the death of infidels and the destruction of the state of Israel?
What year did he burn it? It seems they have been killing us, and bombing us, since before the patriot Pastor Jones was born…did they know he would grow to know their heart and start preemptive killings?
Instead of standing up and saying:

Since I have never defended muslims or Islam no time has been spent doing so. Hard to say what set off your frothing but you will find no one more knowledgeable about Islam nor less supportive of any aspect of it.
We have allies (muslims) fighting and dying alongside our boys in Iraq and Afghanstan and they have been for a nearly a decade.
We also have major bases in muslim nations as well. Why would a rational person what to undermine our alliance with gratuitous grandstanding?

So you believe in a "God of the Old Testament" and a totally different "God of the New Testament". So what am I supposed to make of Hebrews 11 Hall of Faith? I mean if we have totally different gods represented here (John 8:58), or worse, a god that changes himself (Mal 3:6; Hebrews 13:8) what then? How else do I understand your claim?

"...can convince God..." ouch. Your Christology needs some work. But I can understand your point. Elijah, under the very real fear of death at the hands of Ahab the Baál worshipper, (an ancient day equivalent of the moon god cult) risked it all while Obadiah hid one hundred prophets in a couple caves (1Ki 18:4). Not everyone can be an Elijah, but many can hide in caves eating only bread and water.
