The best first step for the NFL to remake it’s image would to be replace that limp-wristed, libtard, pansy, Roger Goodell with someone that has a understanding and love of the game.
I nominate Condi Rice. She would bring the NFL back to where it needs to be.

April Fool's jokes aside... I'll bet that if the NFL did indeed use replacements, how much different would the game be? Are the current players really that good?

I'm fairly certain that the ratings for games would be higher, as you'd get more of the folks that just want to watch football without all of the drama/ego. Granted, fantasy football nuts would be utterly distraught. That being said, I run a FF league and would be thrilled to see a "Replacements" year.

I think a lot of people watch just for the Fantasy Football angle. How are you going to do that with replacement players?

You hold your draft after the preseason and hope. :)

Your average NFL player is simply your better than average college players with a little added age and experience. That's all.
I doubt that the quality of the game would suffer all that much, if any.
Plus some of your older players nearing the ends of their careers might just decide that earning one more fat paycheck before they retired is more important than kowtowing to some bullsh*t union so the next generation of players could earn even bigger paychecks.

“Re-making the image” will be limited to ad campaigns. Guys like Mike Vick and Ben Roethlisberger bring in too many dollars to be dealt with seriously. The media, as in politics, cover for these guys telling us how they’ve “turned their lives around” and are not shining examples.

Yep,just another example of people getting what they will accept.
We have the government, the drug problem, illegal immigrants taking our jobs, the pro-homosexual anti-familytelevision,and all the other crap that is so useless because a majority of the American people either like it or just don't care.

I hate going to games live (driving, parking, cost of tickets, drunk/obnoxious fans).
I have DirecTv. They would automatically add the very expensive NFL Ticket package to my bill (installment plan). I've had to tell them twice to drop it... they said it was automatically added because "I had the games package last year."
I don't care for most of the games/teams... they need to contract teams, but I know they won't.

That good? That’s not the way I would say it. I’d say “they are a lot better” than the guys who aren’t playing now but would take their place. The thing is, those guys wouldn’t be playing the guys on strike, they’d be playing the other guys who didn’t make it — so what you would see on TV wouldn’t be that much different.
