These DUmmies sure are a sappy lot of blighters.

And that "Dude, cheese that's like crack!" comment? The way he says it seems to imply that all his DUmmie friends will fully understand and relate to the concept of 'cheesy crack'.

I go there every couple weeks since it's the closest store with free-range, organic chicken and my husband still eats meat.

And what a lucky man he is.

Ha, you should see the TJ in Manhattan. They have 28 cashiers, and the line is still over 100 long. I reckon they must be taking in at least $10K an hour.

I wouldn’t want these DUmmies to learn how to cut costs, though. The reason you are able to get such a good deal is that not everyone does it. If everyone did, then the deals wouldn’t be there.

It’s not worth the time to me, but I wouldn’t turn it down if I were in a different situation.

Just wait until after the new WEEKLY series, “Extreme Couponing” starts next Wednesday. However, I still don’t think most people will start couponing. I actually see little of it at the stores. One guy behind me on line had a couple half gallons of Lactaid milk last Fall. I told him the coupons for $2 off were available on the Blinkies right in the Dairy section and he should use them on the $2.19 quarts to bring his price down to just 19 cents each. What did he do? Nothing. He preferred to pay several dollars extra rather than use the coupons which were available right there.

Does Manhattan even have ROOM for a supermarket?

relate to the concept of 'cheesy crack'.

I'd use spackle, but that's just me. Dummies must have real cockroach problems.

[I recently finished off a bottle of Two Buck Chuck delivered to me by a relative from the West Coast.]

Alas, Two Buck Chuck's over Three Bucks on the east coast...

I like their vitamins, olive oils, and wines and nuts, and . . . dairy.

What about Triage Milk? nadinbrzezinski buys it by the pallet.

TJ's is a great place to get olive oil, dried fruits, and nuts.

DU is an even better place for NUts!

They refuse to open stores in smaller cities or towns for no reason I can easily discern.

It's that pesky capitalism thing again. The almighty "profit motive," you know. CORPORATIST PIGS! I think we should FORCE them to open stores in places where they will lose money! FAIRNESS!

There is a TJ's not far from me but I rarely shop there. The place is infested with burnt out hippies. I have to admit they do have the best strawberry preserves around.

The last time I was there to get a jar of the preserves, this unshaven legs beast of a woman with a 2 or 3 yr old mouthy brat was in the checkout line in front of me. The kid was screaming at about a 95db level for candy while the checker rang up her bill. Naturally she did not have enough money to pay for everything so she had to decide what to put back. As she was leaving I said to her "How is that hope and change working out for you"? That so upset her she dropped her purse and all its contents spilled out. As I was driving out of the parking lot I saw that beast get into a beat up rusty volvo with Monddale/Ferraro stickers on it.

Funny stuff by the ants, but I had to LOL at this part.

[I don't want to depress this DUmmie by telling her that The Coupon Whisperer pays almost NOTHING for food. In fact The Coupon Whisperer will actually be PAID to "buy" stuff for the next few weeks but that's another story. One cashier even calls me the "guy who never spends more than $3 of his own money" no matter how much stuff I buy.]
