[ But you need to read the whole previous post. It was based on the author claiming that Palin would Nationalize the entire American Oil industry. I was specific on that point. ]

The entire american oil industry needs to be investigated..
But after the Interior dept is gutted like a fish and scaled.. and fileted..
And the Energy dept just de-funded and scrapped..

“.. I’m not going to be so quick to jump in for someone this time. . . . With that said, no RINO will get my vote.”

What you said - me neither.

"You are correct. Palin did side with the Democrats..."

More scumbag lying spin. The Democrats supported "Palin's" initiative, they did not instigate this action to find Sarah jumping on board. Your obvious allegience elsewhere (Huckabone?) has you lieing to bolster your anti-Palin agenda.

Your say-so matters not at all, even if you did spend 35 years in the oil fields, because of your repeatedly demonstrated willingness to twist facts into lies to support your transparent prejudice.

Keep blatting. We'll keep not believing a word you say, now that you've proven to be utterly dishonest.

By working with the oil companies, Palin will cut coastal residents and states in on the royalties, which neutralizes the NIMBY Luddites.

Who owns the coastal resource rights?

"Too bad for Alaska. Drilling has been seriously slowed there because of the tax..."

Too bad for liars. It's not a "tax." It was a reapportionment of the Oil Royalties. You just can't keep facts straight, can you? Or is it honesty you have a congenital revulsion for?

Is EEE actually suggesting that she would confiscate and then re-distribute corporate revenues?

How is it confiscation if an agreement is signed by all parties involved?

If drilling off the coast of CA means that residents should get a cut, then yes, I'm all for it. Call it what you want but if the oil companies agree to it, it's not confiscation.

You just said upthread you were speculating.

I was - but just the part on coastal residents receiving royalties. Palin would do something like this to induce drilling or extraction off the coast, and I'm all for it.

Here’s my answer to your question. The most important thing to libs above anything else is POWER. If they thought for one second that they would loose the White House because of Obama we would see distancing, we do not see that. Especially over Libya, a perfect opportunity. You hear some rattling but not to the extent of party alienation. Your “real people” (lol) does not include unions, libs, etc. They are so po’d they are going to be coming out in droves and bring the dead out of their graves with them. Now do you honestly believe with a dem machine in high gear Obama is not going to give a serious fight? As far as reading, it doesn’t not take much to see how the Chicago style works. You may want to do a little investigating yourself.

Why Governor Palin must be the GOP Nominee

Because I don't want to change my bumper stickers:
"I'll punch Sarah's tab, ANYTIME!"

And being rude and insulting is your best approach to gain support for your candidate? Even Sarah Palin would frown if she were to read some of your posts. At least she shows dignity and respect for those she disagrees with. Too bad you can’t say the same thing.

An excellent, well-reasoned, and well-documented post. For this you will be beset and pilloried by the PDSers. Stand strong.

To me, energy (traditional and homegrown) is the bedrock of her appeal.

Palins additional tax she imposed on Alaska oil companies did more damage to the industry than it helped.

Thanks for spreading mainstream media propaganda on FR. You've just joined their ranks as a useful idiot.

ACES increased investment. Look it up.

Too bad for Alaska. Drilling has been seriously slowed there because of the tax.

There already was a Petroleum Profits Tax. The people of Alaska, who own the resource, passed that that several decades ago. Palin raised it on average about 2.5% when she signed off on ACES.

Palin's ACES tax replaced a previous Petroleum Profits tax rate that was passed one or two years before ACES. Generally speaking, the earlier tax was considered too generous by the people who own the resource, the people of Alaska. Palin's petroleum profits tax was on average about 2.5% higher than the previous PPT and it was considered in the mid range in comparison to the earlier decreasing ELF tax, that the previous PPT had replaced.

Pay particular attention to the very last paragraph if you don’t mind.

It has has oficially been undone by the new Governor. And drilling has resumed.

A giant, zot-worthy lie. NO SUCH THING HAS HAPPENED, as of 9 days ago.
