Sarah Palin's Potentially Inclusive Message In India
Human Events ^ | 3/21/2011 | Tony Lee

......She focused on energy policy, about how America’s debt, particularly the notes China holds, puts the country at risk, about the interconnectedness between India and America in not only a cultural sense but in the arena of energy security, and used Mother Teresa as a broader metaphor to fundamentally stand for the protection of life.

Of course, Palin also talked about India’s history of strong women leaders, and was coy about her intentions for 2012 while noting that America was ready for a woman president during the question and answer session that followed her address.

Should she choose to run for President, these themes will be teased out more, with added layers of substance on top of that which was evident in India.

I wanted to use this space, though, to explore a broader theme that I noticed during this speech, which made me think that Palin, should she run for the GOP nomination and win, could appeal to a broader -- and more diverse -- general election electorate, which political analysts who trade in conventional wisdom are convinced would be her greatest handicap.......

The time has come to question the conventional wisdom which asks the question: “Is a candidate electable?”.

The truth is my dog could beat 0bama.

The question becomes: “Who has the guts to turn around this socialist Rat/Soros agenda?”

On that score Palin looks to be a top contender.

Politically, this War for 2012 Candidate Obama to his own party could be what Amnesty was for McCain to his own party back in 08.

As a potential voter for Sarah Palin I hope she chooses sides very carefully on Libya.

a dog may be able to beat Obama but Mitt couldn’t because the South would be lost to him...

She already called for a NFZ a month before Obama made a decision. but she called for to ensure the destruction of the mass murdering dictator with innocent American blood on his hands.

she was clear and decisive on what we should do and why we should do it.

Palin is the top treat to obama, the very reason that the democratic propaganda machine has not stopped attacking her.

I’d just like the professional hand wringers to give her a chance and debate her on the issues — instead the petty name-calling and cheap shots.

I just don’t get the tactic of personal destruction for someone who’s so “unelectable.”

Yeah but there now seems to be a difference in opinion exactly what a NFZ is now.

To me a NFZ means you only attack Qadaffi's aircraft if they take off given that they are most likely going to bomb the rebels (geez, even then I have a problem with that - and I'm trying to see it her way - but Obama's NFZ appears to be joining the rebels in this war as their airforce attacking targets on the ground. I do not consider that a legit NFZ action.

For the sake of her campaign (and others) I hope she approaches this issue with care.

This war was a mistake in the opinions of many democrats, many independents and many republicans. But a right answer from Sarah Palin could win all sides.

I do believe the ant-Libyan war crowd is has more passion behind them then the pro-Libyan crowd.

Correction to cleariy myself:

The those against this war seem to have more passion behind them than those against it. (That includes all parties.

I agree with this but that is because we are leaderless. The reasons for the NFZ has not been given to the American people, we submitted to the UN, failed to get congress onboard and Obama failed to prepare the people for the action. He simply appeared one day and said we are attacking Lybia. what you are seeing is a lack of leadership by Obama. Not a lack of passion behind the act itself.

Obama has not billed this as revenge for the murde rof Americans, he has made no case for this act of war, he has partied while our soldiers are in harm's way.

Palin will make no of these mistakes when she speaks of this issue. She never does...

I don’t know many PDSers don’t seem to get the cause and effect correct in the equation.

stay the course and double down on the need to get the murdering bastard’s head on a pike.

Well, that's a given at this point in the game. After the bombing started, in Qadaffi's world that's a declaration of war. There's no way we can allow him to survive now.

My hope is that when asked by the media:

Would you have supported the initial bombing of Libya?

Palin answers "NO. (even if it's a lie)

Otherwise she is following the Obama Doctrine which is unpopular right now

Is Ron Paul running?

I don’t know I saw an article saying RAND Paul might be running....

as far as following Obama’s doctrine. Palin already has her own:

Nice summation and endorsement of Sarah Palin's speech in India. Writer Lee sees depth in Sarah Palin that others are about to see.

Thanks very much, unseen1.

np....I’m just shocked that people are starting to see the real Palin. The writer still misses somethings but at least he “sees” where she is heading..... Now if you take this article and merge it with this article the picture becomes clearer.... http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/03/22/reading_the_palin_tea_leaves_is_likely_a_futile_endeavor_109311.html
