On CNNs Reliable Sources show on Sunday, host Howard Kurtz asked, One major question about the assault on Libya, what happened to the medias skepticism? Hes right, but his comparison to the war in Iraq was wrong. The correct parallel is President Bill Clintons illegal and unconstitutional military intervention in the civil war in Kosovo, then a province of Serbia. Serbia, like Libya today, did not present a threat to the U.S., but in both cases Democratic presidents went to war with those nations anyway, in order to strengthen international organizations.
What the media are missing is the fact that Obamas war on Libya has no basis in law or the U.S. Constitution. He has decided to wage this war on his own with the authorization of the United Nations, not the U.S. Congress.

Obama said, Ive acted after consulting with my national security team, and Republican and Democratic leaders of Congress. And in the coming hours and days, my administration will keep the American people fully informed. But make no mistake: Today we are part of a broad coalition. We are answering the calls of a threatened people. And we are acting in the interests of the United States and the world.

This announcement followed a February 25 executive order declaring Libya an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, which is ludicrous on its face. Obama then declared a national emergency to deal with that threat.

It sounds like a New World Order.

BROAD
adj.
6. liberal
COALITION
noun
1. a combination or alliance, especially a temporary one between persons, factions, states, etc.
So...a broad coalition in this case must mean a bunch of liberals joined forces for whatever reason. Because 3-5 countries does not make up a large group.
*smirk*
I think we need to give BOR a rifle and drop him into Tripoli since he has such a hard on for getting daffi.
ODYSSEY
noun
2. a long series of wanderings or adventures, especially when filled with notable experiences, hardships, etc.
DAWN
verb
4. to begin to open or develop.
In and out. It's gonna be a piece of cake. Uh huh.
Agreed. BOR was unhinged tonight attempting to justify Obama’s latest escapade.
The idiot claimed Bush didn’t get congressional approval for going to war in Iraq.
As much as I hate to agree with Kucinich, he was the one who was in the right tonight. O’Reilly kept throwing out the straw man argument about the Pan Am bombing. Apparently O’reilly is fine with putting Al Qeada in power as long as he can have revenge.
Yeah, there was spin tonight and it was coming from BOR the bloviator.
Obama is still a moron and a hypocrite but that doesn't make this illegal. If Congress doesn't affirm in 60 days then we can accuse him of that.
There’s nothing illegal about Obama’s war.
Disgusting that he fiddled around and waited for the French and Brits to lead the way while Qaddafi already annihilated a lot of the opposition first, but definitely not illegal.
Our President is late to the fight, as always. Pathetic.
And - oh yeah - it's unconstitutional.
The idiot claimed Bush didnt get congressional approval for going to war in Iraq.
Hopefully the "folks" will put their BDS aside and correct the moron.
Apparently Oreilly is fine with putting Al Qeada in power as long as he can have revenge.
Where has he been for the past 22 years?
Good one.
CLEARLY! Whose going to stop him? Certainly not the spineless stupid party.
Hell, McLame is whining that Obama didn’t bomb them enough.
Well...you know what I think of MeInsane...right?
It’s as if Libyans were not killing each other fast enough, and the UN decided to help out. AND to make matters worse, or prove my point, the UN has stated that they are not targeting Gadhafi? WTF???
Where are the screams about how we are not the world's police?
Why were the Iranians not worth protecting as they were being slaughtered in the streets begging for freedom?
What about Darfur?
Why has no one cared about Mugabe?
Who will come to save us when the time comes?
