The first $1.6 million allotted will go to Maricopa County. The money is designated for a sheriff in a county with three million people. The next county to be funded will be Pinal County. Anything left over from the fund may be given to other counties.

I thought Pima County believes that border crime is the federal government’s job. Why would the county need money?

Tucson is a great town but politically it is a sh*thole of idiot liberalism. They would just waste the money on some officially protected criminal enterprise, so better not to give it to them at all.
