Jonathan Punk Martin and John Effing Harris at Politico are part of the cabal of mama's boys in DC who want Sarah Palin to kiss their ass. Not gonna happen.
The johns are are concerned that "leading conservatives" are taking unkind swipes at her and are concerned at the "costs" she is incurring to her reputation. Right. I'm sure. They point to George "I hate people who wear jeans" Will, Atheist Heather Mac Donald, and I have no idea why Wehner was brought up, probably to make a nice arrangement of three. But Wehner does deserve a WTF. He says, "She relies instead on shallow talking points.” Please Pete, I suppose some people would call that disingenuous, I call it just plain stupid. And the assessment of "The concern for me is this culture of aggrievement,” is a little strange, what are we supposed to do, let everything that the Obama administration does just slide off our backs? This will only hurt a little? Embittered? Uh, okay, Hey Sarah, from now on, don't let a thing bother you, everything is fine, Obama's not so bad, take it and like it, got it? Gimme a break.
And Matt Labash defends his position on Palin, that she is playing a victim of sexism, by being sexist and racist. "She’s becoming Al Sharpton, Alaska edition. The only difference being, she wears naughty-librarian glasses instead of a James Brown ‘do.” Nice combo you fruitcake! All you have to do is open your mouth, and out comes your true colors.
Just because Old Mac Donald had a cow, is no reason to worry. I can't think of many atheist conservatives who don't see Obama as a radical. “The public should stop wanting to see itself reflected in a leader. There is something narcissistic about that. No, Labash is dead wrong. Sarah is not Al Sharpton, she is more like what Jeffrey Lord said. She is more like our Ted Kennedy, the one everyone goes to in order to get their steel spine. These weak mama's boys don't have what it takes to defeat Obama, nor do they want to. America sees it differently.
