Local Political Discourse Has Fallen Into The Toliet
The Kona Blog ^ | March 7, 2011 | Aaron Stene

I’m frustrated how far local political discourse has fallen into the toilet. The advent of the Tea Party is the prime culprit for causing this. These individuals believe they are armchair quarterbacks. This supposedly gives them the right to second guess politicians and public servants decisions.

Judging by the opening lines, is it fair to say that the author is on crack?

So Mr. Stene, Tea Partiers are penny wise and pound foolish in your estimation, eh? To think that you are almost halfway from the mainland to China, one would ponder whether you can feel the eastward winds, you fargin moron!

Time warp to 1776, London:

“I am frustrated how far local political discourse has fallen into the chamber pot. The advent of the American colonies are the prime culprit for causing this. These individuals believe they are armchair philosophers. This supposedly gives them the right to second guess His Royal Highness King George and public servants’ decisions.”

Here’s what I left, see if it gets approved...

What an amazing statement: ” This supposedly gives them the right to second guess politicians and public servants decisions.”

Wow, the citizens have the right ALWAYS to question the wisdom of politicians and public servants. Not only do they have the right, they have an obligation to do so, and to do so loudly, strongly and pointedly.

To suggest these should not be questioned, is to poke your head in the sand and say “politicians are wiser than everyone else” which is patently absurd. You embarrass yourself with such statements of servile ignorance. Don’t just question them, make them prove, in public, EVERYTHING they want to do. Believe nothing, question everything. WE THE PEOPLE are to govern, not some privileged class.

Judging by the opening lines, this site is the first on Kona to be dropped in here:

These creatures are *everywhere*. It’s a wonder the planet doesn’t implode.

It appears to those who have eyes and ears that the Tea Party is the ONLY party not screaming, yelling, protesting with signs that lie, break the law, etc. while YOUR representitives are cowards than run and hind and hold their breath if they don’t get their way. And you believe the party that stands together in a civil, polite and respectful manner and only claims they want the constitution enforced is the problem? Get back on your horse and ride off into the sunset.

hey sounds like Mario ‘the Pius’ Cuomo after he lost his governors seat in 1994....

“Politicians used to think of themselves as shepherds. That's all over now. Now the politicians are following the sheep: Read the polls! They'll tell you where to go to pasture.”

yes liberals...you want us all to be sheep....AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!

This is far and away the worst structured sentence I've seen in a week or more.
