[SNIP]
So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can its just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas thats being emitted.
[SNIP]
Let me sort of describe my overall policy.
What Ive said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody elses out there.
I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.

This was posted during the '08 election, but in view of recent events , and lack of action or energy policy it bears re-posting.
Just another example of the progressive way of governing. What we have is a promise by Hussein to cut our energy consumption. Cap and Trade was stopped in congress, but Barry's still keeping true to the left.
The recent oil spike and the media's silence are no accident.
Signed,
Capt. Obvious

If you think those former dictators and their buddies think highly of him........ they don't! And they will get even.

He can't win
High food prices
His words on high Gas prices
Unemployment will rise on higher gas prices as people are hit with a daily tax because we are not drilling.

The problem is the vast number of lefty moonbats who think O’Bankrupt is right on target. Remaining optimistic is a tough slog.

He will bankrupt the lefties too. They like their Acura’s. They like their standard of living. Obama is going to bankrupt that too, not for just them, but, their children too.

While the lame stream media is and will continue to be silent about Barry's failed energy policies, average Americans will be painfully aware every time they fill their car with gas. The likely wet spring in the corn belt may mean lower corn production and thus lower ethanol production so the touting of biofuels as a solution won't hold up. The Chevy Volt is already a laughing stock so Barry doesn't have any real excuses except perhaps to again vilify the oil companies.
The GOP should be shouting for American oil, produced by American workers for a better American economy. I am expecting Barry will follow Jimmy Carter's example and impose price controls on gasoline giving us those long lines at the pump that were so popular in the late 1970s.

No problem. To assure the rest of us have sufficient power, just cut off all power to anyone who supports this destruction of America policy and let them freeze to death.

“This was posted during the ‘08 election, but in view of recent events , and lack of action or energy policy it bears re-posting. “
This was from an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle editorial board. (It was done in the spring, late winter I think?)
It was on their website for many months. But no one found it until just a few days before the election. I think it might have affected the election if used properly.
I think McCain's people were incompetent for not finding this and using it.
