NPR officer: There are questions about Obama's birth story

A top officer for National Public Radio has confirmed that many Americans still question whether Barack Obama is eligible to be president, but that the tax-supported organization just isn't reporting on it.

It was Betsy Liley, NPR's senior director of institutional giving, who was meeting with another NPR executive, senior Vice President Ron Schiller, when an undercover recorder was running.

In the recording, the two executives discuss how a donor wanted to contribute to coverage of climate change, but only if just one side of the story – the side promoting man-made climate change as fact – is reported.

Liley calls it "complicated."

Possible he was born in Hawaii or not, why are the Democrats pushing back so hard against the states that want to implement some sort of system to guarantee the constitutional eligibility of a candidate? Those states are mocked, the folks that cosign the legislation are tarred and feathered as ‘birthers’, and the Republicans in each state are regarded as loons.

Why?

What nobody talks about is the only certification of Obama’s eligibility comes from a document signed by Pelosi and Reid that testifies that THEY consider him eligible according to the constitution and that he is the Democrat Party’s nominee for president.

Pelosi and Reid are the only two people involved where there is a written record certifying that Obama is eligible. Frankly, they lie so much I don’t know why EVERY state is not implementing their own law to verify certification.

There is a possibility that Baby Obama never saw Hawaii until his third birthday. Instead, his mom, Stanley Ann flew him from Mombasa to Seattle, Washington in time for class at the University of Washington the fall of 1961.

Some US Attorney should indict Pelosi and Reid on a charge of defrauding the US for their Obama birth statements. They would then have to substantiate where he was born or Obama would have to watch their public political destruction. (That would be a very Oriental solution, don't you think?)

You know there is an old myspace page put up a few years ago that lists Obama’s age as 4 years older than he is.

Since Hawaii did not become a state until 1959, and if he actually were born in Hawaii, but in 1957 instead of 1961, wow that certainly places an interesting spin on things.

As in, NOT born in the USA—since Hawaii was not a state yet?

As WND has reported in more than 200 stories, there has been no way to be certain Obama was even born on Aug. 4, 1961, as has been claimed, since he has never produced his original long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to resolve doubts about his origins, and whether or not he meets the constitutional requirements of being a “natural-born citizen.”

If last year’s information on his MySpace page featured the correct information, it would place Obama’s birth year at 1957.

That would mean he would have been born during Hawaii’s time as a territory of the U.S., the islands’ status from about 1900 until statehood in 1959.

Prior to statehood Hawaii was an “organized territory” of the United states of America. It is already a well established point of law that any person born in an “organized territory” of the United States is a native born U.S. citizen. Any native born U.S. citizen whose parents are both U.S. citizens at the time of birth is also a natural born U.S. citizen in accordance with the Constitution's requirement for eligibility to the Office of the President.

It is also well established that Barack Hussein Obama II (aka Barry Soetoro et al) was born in August 1961.

Speculation about an earlier birth year and birth in a territory has no basis in fact or relevance to the eligibility issue.

When the NPR director of giving talks about how Obama says he was born in Hawai'i and how "there's still a question about where he was born that that's a fact," I believe she's stating that there are questions even though it's a fact that Obama was born in Hawai'i.

She immediately follows by asking whether NPR should also address questions about whether the world is flat.

So . . . she's comparing people who question whether Obama was born in Hawai'i to people who argue that the world is flat and using that as a reason why NPR doesn't cover the (as she calls them) 'birthers.'

I believe WND is spinning her statements.

I was reading it as she is saying "the fact" is that there is still a question about the President's eligibility. And then "the challenge" is to question these "facts"... that part is unclear but interpretted maybe she's saying that it's no longer opinions (or motives) that we have to debate, but we have to find out what facts are shaping these opinions... (?)

I'm not sure. The first part makes sense until she gets to the second part.

Whatever the consequences—and I am no attorney—at minimum if Obama lied about his age and background, he is a con man and should be exposed.

I am not aware that Barry Goldwater was ever suspected as a liar of his history and was forthcoming about the details of his life.
