My wife is almost 20 years younger than me so we have completely different tastes in music.
Hannaford aka “Sweetbay” for folks in da south.! I prefer Publix myself. ;-)
Also she was too clueless on how to use coupons. The most painful thing to see was people buying half gallon sizes of Lactaid milk for the full price of about 4 bucks when they had Blinkie coupons right in the dairy section for $2 off ANY size Lactaid. All one had to do was grab 4 of those coupons, use each on the $2.19 quart size of Lactaid, and score 4 quarts (ie one gallon) for just 76 cents total. And the coupons were right there in the dairy section.
Psst! FREE Dentastix at Publix starting this Thursday. They are $3.00 BOGO. Combine that deal with the $2 Dentastix coupon from the Jan. 30 Red Plum insert and you have FREE Dentastix. Use 3 of those coupons for every 4 Dentastix.
Thnxs PJ , my dogs will love you for that!
Julie and I are 11 years apart. Our taste in music is virtually the same, although she tends to listen to country somewhat. I’m jazz, Sinatra, that kind of stuff.
Right in one. No wonder Libs rarely make any sense, all their brainpower is focused on the trivial.
Being a liberal means always having to say you're sorry.
Agreed, very unprofessional. Assuming this event even took place, of course.
My wife and daughter are bigtime coupon shoppers. The daughter learned well from my wife. Year before last, she found and printed some coupons online for one of our favorite Mexican food restaurants that was a “Buy one meal and get TWO lesser in value meals for free”. I eat more than they do, so I got the larger meal. We all had to ask for a take home box.
Psst! Go to Target this week. 3.5 lb bag of Pedigree dog food is $4.00. Use the $3 Pedigree coupon from last Sunday’s newspaper insert and you get the bag for only a buck.
Hmmm. I'm guessing this:
Last summer I scored almost a hundred trays of Chef Michael’s dog food at Target for FREE. I don’t have a dog but gave them to my sister-in-law who has a poodle mix. Also handed out a bunch of the coupons to my friend for his Lab dog, Rocky.
Excellent post.
Actually more of a cultural difference. She likes really crappy Venezuelan music. I often imitate the way she dances the salsa in a way that make my arms look like mechanical windshield wipers going back and forth. She HATES when I do that but I can’t help myself. Hee! Hee!
Here’s another aspect of liberalism that is displayed here -
I would insist that everyone MUST shop at union grocery stores,
but me, I have reasons that I might not want to, and since I’m one of the elite liberals that cares so much, I can excuse myself this one time, or multiple times, as long as I, the intellectual and moral elite, determine that it’s justified.
Actually, you don’t have to memorize all those rules.
In fact, “rules” are anathema to a lib, because rules preclude the individual’s superior intellectual ability to make ad hoc decisions and still feel good about themselves.
I had a boss like that once. It was nice to know that he would shield me as long as I was doing my best. Of course, he would also reprimand me if I deserved it, but the shielding acted as more of a motivator.
I only use the self-checkout so I don't have to pretend to be in a good mood while the checker is chattering away. If someone is treating me well, I feel obligated to put away my normal surly attitude ... no need to rain on their parade. Do unto others. All that.
I'm glad to see there's another "economic" reason to use them.
Happy Birthday, Charles!
That was a total bouncy, we have a bunch of them posted at conservativecave, the bouncy’s come about depending on the topic of the day at DU.
