We don’t live in a communist country where jobs are assigned according to intellect or bulk. Police and firefighters weren’t drafted. If you chose to be one, I applaud you but that being said, that doesn’t mean you get to tell us how much you get paid because you chose a job that potentially puts your life in peril. If it’s not worth the risk, I wouldn’t blame you at all if you walked, but this job safety-guilt trip sh-- is starting to fall on deaf ears.

That is where we differ. I’m not saying ALL bloggers deserve to be read; however, I love B&R, been reading him for years and have no intention to stop.

B&R has had his blog for years, helping to spread the Conservative word. I simply cannot find fault with doing so.

If I may, here is the reverse business model.

FReeper writes an essay, perhaps one like this.

He posts it, in full on FreeRepublic, where it can be read by many, as a result of FR's great one million page view per day traffic.

The essay is the read by someone who posts it on another site, like this. There it is linked back to FreeRepublic and brings new readers to ~OUR~ site.

They then become FReepers and contribute to the FReepathons. Happy ending.

No one is saying that Bob Parks' material is without merit, only that it should be freely and openly shared if he wants to be a positive contribution to this site.

I understand what you are saying; however, I've been to many upon many a blog......however, FR is my home base.

Nothing can change that fact. I believe the more our Conservative ideas, facts and commentary are out there, the more people will see it.

His forum links INCLUDE FR, which helps to bring traffic into our humble home.

I see nothing wrong with that. I was apart of Mark Levin fan site. I introduced many of them to FR, who became a member and actively participate.

Networking.....that is what has spurred our Tea Party. I cannot tell you how many people I have referred to FR in all my Tea Party gatherings.

As long as we are on the same team I see "eating our own" to be detrimental.

YOU chose to accept the risks and perils that come with those professions, and YOU knew what the job paid when you applied and for all the ads the unions will put out over the next few months, complete with smiling union workers, I’ll tell you what footage was never shot and will never be in one of the upcoming ads: union workers saying “thank you” to the community after the latest property tax override and/or tax increase.

And I have had many who I referred to FreeRepublic tell me that they would never visit this site again because they saw it as nothing but a "redirect hell" and a "clearinghouse for blogs."
