Is it just me or am I just late to the party? Let's see, what percentage of all commerce and political information is handled by Google? The Chinese regard the internet as: 1. A capitalist/bourgeois tool that corrupts the proletariat. 2. A sometimes useful propaganda tool. 3. A weapon of mass-distraction. 4. A real world cyber warfare first strike weapon. 5. Something that controls the necessary flow of information, in an effort to control of which they will spare no effort or cost. 6. All of the above.
I quit using google last week.
It’s all Greek to me. :)
I just put www.google.com and it went to the American version.
I just checked, and they have me still in google Pilipinas, written in Tagalog.
Since I live in the Philippines, I guess that means the Chinese haven’t taken over our google.
MSN search page, however, keeps switching me around: telling me I belong in Korea. After I nixed that half a dozen times, they now have me in Australia.
Sigh.
you might want to read the whole article.
He does say that China is respecting Hong Kong's semi independence for now
Don't know the latest developments.
Way too much IP tracing so they can modify content/ads to target data for where your computer tells them you are...
Weird. Me too! But only in my sleep. And sometimes when I’m in crowds.......Beer help.
Brush up on your chinese. They own us anyway thanks to our traitorous politicians past and present.
Lucky you. I couldn’t access to google for months now.
Um...why are you using google in the first place?
JoMa
I’m in Japan and still get the Japanese Google page . Mondai nai desu .
I’ll say it again.
Truman should have listened to MacArthur instead of firing him.
I don’t Google; I BING.
