RACHEL MADDOW: If you look at the last election cycle, of the top ten people donating money in that election, seven of them were giving to Republicans, those were all corporate interests and Right-wing PACs and stuff. Seven of the ten were all Right-wing, and the only three that weren't were unions. So, if Republicans can get rid of the unions, particularly these public sector unions, they can run the table in every election from here on out.Now I don't often if ever agree with Rachel Maddow. But here she makes a good point.
If the Dems lose the taxpayer funded campaign contributions that are funneled to them through the public service unions they are headed for the bottom of the political heap. This country is conservative and without the unions there just isn't enough support for the Dems to keep them on top. They know they are fighting for their political life in Wisconsin and Ohio. But they are going to lose. Good.

These stats are cherry picked.
Obama raised more money than any president in history. More foreign money. More Wall St money. More Hollywood money. More academia money. More union money.
But woe is the poor liberal. Give me a break!

Seriously, Smith needs to be called on the carpet if he is “reporting” bogus Democrat talking points on the air. It simply goes against, “We report - you decide”, if what Smith (and therefore, Fox) “reports” is inaccurate or, especially, an outright lie. Fox cannot afford to lose its reputation because one of its most visible anchors gets lazy and sloppy.

So, if Republicans can get rid of the unions, particularly these public sector unions, they can run the table in every election from here on out Hello. What Maddow is admitting is that very few voters actually support Flee Party policies. She is admitting that no one would voluntarily donate to Flee candidates; they must be forced to through union dues --- including forcing many individuals who specifically OPPOSE Flee candidates and policies.
Maddow is admitting that the Flee Party is thoroughly, utterly 100% astroturf, that it has no viability at all if it were left out there to compete on its own strength, on the merits, in the marketplace of ideas.
All this talk about how Walker's goal is actually to bust the unions. I say: SO WHAT IF IT IS? Is that a bad thing? HELL NO it's not a bad thing.
