Thanks for the link. Years of searching and they’ve found nothing. Maybe we need to turn them into border agents on the Mexican border (on the Mexican side) so they can take direct fire for their harassment.
The last time I flew in from Germany, we all had to go through screening before we could reenter the US. It is like the US does not trust the other parts of the world’s security (smart move!).

By customs or by TSA? If by TSA, what the heck for?? They going to take away that oversize bottle of shampoo or toothpaste that got by someone at the Berlin airport?? Besides, once past security, you can buy all sorts of items to carry on (like soft drinks, bottled water, etc.).
For my vacation, I went to FL. This was just 3 weeks ago. When I flew from the Greensboro airport to FL, I wasn’t even wanded or my luggage checked. Two weeks later, my luggage was searched on the flight back. I laughed over it. They went through my dirty laundry. ROFLMAO!!! All they found was a glass flamingo Christmas tree ornament stuck in there to keep it from breaking. Thank goodness it did arrive safely. I did the same thing coming back through customs years ago. I put the dirty clothes on the top in my suitcase. It didn’t stay open long. LOL!!!!
I’ll point this out...since I travel via Germany a fair bit. They can hustle a thousand folks through security in a matter of thirty minutes...with the TSA crowd...it takes twice that long or more. I went through Philly two months ago and just stood there laughing for 45 minutes as we inched through a line in mid-afternoon. The plane had arrived forty-five minutes late....luckily, I had projected three hours of time into my trip and I had a little bit of time to spare.
Agreed. Collective bargaining would bring out their best behavior when it comes to respecting the rights and personal space of their paymasters.

I agree that for fliers TSA is inconsistent, overbearing, and all sorts of other adjectives that describe an agency that is about power and not about passengers, their rights and freedoms.
However, here we are talking about a search of bags and passengers (including wanding and pat-downs of children) AFTER leaving a TRAIN, which should set off an entirely different level of alarm bells for the traveling public!!
