All this started mid-morning today. We're trying to get it resolved. How is it in America that a sweet little gray-haired lady, who never hurt a soul in her life, can be kicked to the curb like this? I took the time to blog it simply because this can happen to any of us. But nothing brings the realization home like having it happen at home.

This is exactly what happened to my Mom last week. The only difference was that pneumonia had already started setting in....

Yet an illegal will be immediately admitted.

et me guess her PCP was NOT consulted. This is the final outting of the fascist state that the “left” has been working for all along. Get a Lawyer!

If we allow certain citizens to be denied care it is only a matter of time when the commie system. The politicos and powerful go to state of the art hospitals while the rest of us get to go to roach and rat infested “clinics”.

That's a sad story.

So many of our seniors have become dependent on government health insurance and government health care. I hope other seniors can learn from your story. Medicare is going to get some severe cuts and seniors need to start making other arrangements.

Prayers up for your mother and her family.

Does she have insurance outside of Medicare?

My 90-year old mother has been going through the same thing for the past few months. She had dementia and has been sent to the E.R. from her rest home a number of times, ranging from bronchitis to kidney failure, and they absolutely REFUSE to refer her to skilled nursing. Same with my BF's mother, but she finally died while waiting.

Welcome to our Brave New World.

You may find this interesting. It sounds like the practice of denying healthcare to seniors is becoming widespread. A scary thought!

If you’re close to DC, take her to the halls of Congress.

Seriously, would it do any good to get an attorney?

If you’re close to Canada, drive her to a hospital there?

I took the time to blog it simply because this can will happen to any of us, public employees excepted.

Apologies for the correction, and a long live for your Mom, she's got plenty of good years left, medicare actuaries excepted.

I’ll add my prayers. My Mom is only a 2-3 years younger. Let us know how this turns out. Do you need a lawyer? I have some contacts in thst profession and could possibly ask one for a referral if you can give me your city and state.

Well since Obamacare is unconstitutional, suing the hospital is in order for enforcing Obamacare in the first place.

I would demand to speak with a hospital attorney, and I would ask them to delineate exactly what law and what specific statements within that law are being used to deny admission. I would ask the attorney if he/she is willing to categorically state, in writing, that either 1) admission is not required on the basis of expert medical opinion (must state the doctors name, exact diagnosis, reasoning admission is not required, and treatment plan), or 2) admission is warranted but is being denied under the law.

Tell them that if they refuse to work with you directly on this you will go to media outlets and your own personal attorney. I would be shocked if you didn’t get results.

She has PRIVATE insurance and is being refused care?? How can that be possible? Where in the private insurance contract does it state that there are age limits to care???

What if you took her to another hospital, gave her a phony name, and say that she is from Mexico? They’d have to take her. This makes me so mad. Prayers for your poor mom.
