As the Wall Street Journal pointed out, campaign contributions by government-sector unions, collected through mandatory dues, help elect the public officials who are then supposed to negotiate with them: “The unions sit, in effect, on both sides of the bargaining table.”

Say, is that anything like when the Mafia extorts protection money from you to protect you from the Mafia? Why wouldn’t RICO apply here... I’m sure with just a little investigation, it can be shown that union bosses have used mobster tactics and even committed mobster style crimes to achieve their political power and personal wealth... hell, the President himself acts like a mobster kingpin...

For many decades, once the teachers' national organization, the NEA, became a union, teachers were pressured to join and give up their dues payments, because they needed insurance.

For the past 30+/- years or so, however, most states have had a Professional Educators' Association which, as part of its package, offers insurance benefits.

As a result, teachers can choose to join or not join the national union.

Those whose personal views do not support the Far Left agenda of the Democrats do not have to belong. There needs to be a national publicity campaign to make this fact known.
