Take this article and others I found to the fight to the Libs on their own turf; put the Left on the defensive at at Digg and at Reddit and in Delicious and Stumbleupon
The dems in Texas tried that - ran to Oklahoma. Gov. Perry threatened to send the Texas Rangers to get ‘em. They said, “but they don’t have jurisdiction.” Perry said, “Yup, they do.” (Paraphrasing.) Whether or not they did, it was enough to bring ‘em back to Austin...
They need at least one Senate Dem to make a 3/5ths quorum needed to pass appropriations bills.
Passing legislation making Wisc a right-to-work state would not be an appropriations bill, and could be passed with a simple majority quorum, and a simple majority vote of those present.
Let the unions and the Dems chew on THAT.
Don’t expect it, I don’t think the Republicans are really serious, and are just posturing to look good for the Tea Party.
Things like this is where our side misses out on great rhetoric opportunities that the radical left would seize upon in an instant.
Why aren’t our media folks crying:
“FIND A DEMOCRAT SENATOR, SAVE A STARVING WISCONSIN CHILD!!!
Who hasn’t had a taxpayer-paid breakfast, lunch, and school provided dinner in THREE DAYS!!
WHY DO DEMOCRATS HATE THE THE CHILDREN, AND WANT THEM TO STARVE????”
