Ronald Reagan "made" his presidency the day he personally fired more than 10,000 air traffic controllers who refused his order to cease their illegal strike. The country enjoyed an eight year break from serious labor unrest during his administration. Years later, even the Soviets admitted they had taken note of his backbone.
In Wisconsin today, several thousand union teachers in Wisconsin lied to their employers, based on that fraud took a paid day off, shuttered their schools and marched off to protest a proposal to make their compensation more like that of the taxpayers who pay them.
Governor Walker and the relevant school boards should fire each and every government employee, specifically including teachers, who lied.
We can live in a land of rules by law, governed by those who win majorities or we can live by the rule of the mob, in this case the union leaders, teachers and thugs.
Fire them, Mr. Walker, then move on.
And a salute to all the Wisconsin state employees who resisted the pressure and stayed at their jobs.
It’s happening on Ohio, too.
“Ronald Reagan “made” his presidency the day he personally fired more than 10,000 air traffic controllers who refused his order to cease their illegal strike.”
I remember that day. He fired them and the country never looked back. It was great.
“in” Ohio, too.
How about a PATCO decade? Perhaps even a PATCO century!
Fire every one of these liar communists who are so self-entitled. For God’s sake...all they have is a lousy education degree. Everyone who has been to college knows that education courses were the most dumbed-down courses and the education degree was a farce. The degree area with the lowest SAT scores is education. Losers.
I’m with you. I still remember watching bunches of engineering, physics, chemistry and math majors switch to education when I was in college.
Ed School is where the kids who couldn’t cut it in Journalism School wound up.
Fire them! They have abandoned their jobs as have the rats in the senate.
Needed: A resolute man like Henry Clay Frick to break the back of this union and all forms of unionism.
It's possible to not cut it in Journalism School? What would you have to do, drool on the teachers stash?
That’s why I specified that only teachers who lied should be fired. That will separate out the truly sick.
Lying and fraud are likely terminable events under the union contract. They are also not the best rallying cry in the public eye, “I lied, please help me keep my job teaching your children,” does not resonate well.
