Exactly what my theory predicted.

What was the court’s response to the plaintiff’s motion for Kagan and Sotomayor to recuse themselves? Did they recuse themselves from a case in which they had an EXTREME personal and financial conflict of interest?

Yep four Justices didn’t vote to bring the case forward regardless of how Justice Kagan and Justice Sotomayor may have participated.
