Last Saturday, a Muslim taxi driver slowly plowed into a crowd of people on a busy sidewalk in San Diego. It sounded almost immediately like lone jihadi syndrome. And they would not release his name, which always makes me suspicious. They only do that when it's Islamic. Lone jihadi or sudden jihad. We see this repeatedly. One girl was pinned against a wall and had her leg severed; 35 people were injured and most were transported to hospitals. They had injuries such as broken bones, cuts and bruises, So incensed was the crowd that members of the crowd pulled him out of the cab and assaulted him....After the attack he jumped out of the taxi and started stabbing people with a pair of scissors.
I did not post on it because the authorities refused to publish his name. It took a few days, but now we know that he was a 52-year-old Egyptian-born cab driver, Hasan Daly.
The original FOX article said "the driver, who is between 40 and 50 years old, either fell asleep or passed out. Alcohol was not involved." But he didn't fall alseep. Police confirmed Daly stopped at the stop sign on the corner before driving about 15 miles per hour into the crowd.
Wait, get this: When emergency crews first arrived, they were told to clear the area because of fears that the taxi might have had explosives inside it. A witness reported seeing a bag with wires coming out of it on the taxi's seats. The bag turned out to be a massager, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
People thought it was a a terror attack. And this would-be slaughterer was not arrested and no charges have been filed.
Sammy Nour, who hired Daly years ago as a company limousine driver, said Daly is a hard worker but a very private person."I was shocked," said Nour. Indeed.
I’m probably missing something. Don’t these cabbies have government licenses to drive cabs and transport people? On what basis are the cabbies allowed to discriminate?

So which was it ??? Did the crowd pull him out of the cab and assault him OR did he jump out of the cab and start stabbing people???
This is the weirdest way of writing a story. Do you know what the ellipses omitted?
A personal jihad was my first guess after hearing it was a cabbie who plowed into a crowd. The reluctance to release the ID of the driver pretty much confirmed it.
When the authorities refuse to provide equal protection under the law as a result of misplaced political correctness, they’re inviting mob rule and anarchy.
Ugly, but unavoidable at a certain point.

I think the initial report said it was thought he used the scissors in self defense. When he realized a woman was pinned to the wall, he attempted to back up to free her. The crowd thought he was leaving the scene, so they grabbed him and pulled him out of the cab.
I was wondering why the driver’s name was withheld in MSM reports on this. More evidence on how the MSM is deliberately dishonest in the service of its PC agenda.
Thanks. It’s hard to get a fix on what happened, and the writing is, frankly, so atrocious and contradictory that it takes away from the thrust of the story. I had to read and reread that part, and it still doesn’t make any kind of sense. I’ve only ever heard good things about Atlas Shrugged, so this disappoints.

I made my comments also on the other thread when it came out, it was straight from the gut feelings.
As usual in such an event like this I was correct.
Regardless what the MSM “attempts” to preach I always go by my intuition. A higher, much higher authority than mortal man gave me that.

The first day, it was reported that the woman who was pinned was 20 years old and her leg was amputated. There were comments asking why a 20 year old was drinking in a bar! Now, she’s 45 with an injured leg.
Also initial reports claimed that six people were hospitalized in critical condition. Now it says that no one else was admitted to a hospital except the 45 year old woman.
My intuition tells me the recent outbreak of sickness in some folks somewhere (I forget the details, but NOT the Playboy mansion party) who attended some event or somesuch (just heard a fleeting report on the news an hour or two ago) was a biological attack. The news report attributed it to a natural flu virus or something like that.
It's getting spookier by the day. The antidote, I guess, is courage, which I think John Wayne defined as being plenty scared but saddling up anyway.
I hate to say it because I have friends there but I believe San Diego has become a fixation point for Islamic terrorists much like they went after the iconic image of the WTC.
A smart person could do a review of recent suspicious activity such as this first reported runaway cab driver,I would dearly love to see Coast Guard reports and also anything interesting that has been detained trying to drive across the border.
Also would be any different patterns of Mexican Police, gangs etc, especially if they appear to be spending an excessive amount of new money. A unique new type of terror threat may indeed be Mexican/Islamic.

I had no problem understanding the article by Pam Geller and was not disappointed at all. I don’t know what you are referring to. Perhaps you have other reasons to be critical of Pam Geller.
Reading some of the comments on this thread, I was reminded of a taxi cab ride that we had in Seattle. We were going to a party at a restaurant and had decided not to drive. We got into the cab at our hotel and gave the cabbie the address of our destination. It wasn’t long before we noticed that we were traveling in circles. Then the cabbie stops the cab and gets out to talk to another cab driver and comes back and asks us to please get into the other cab.
The new driver gets in and tells us that the other driver had just arrived in this country (from the M.E or northern Africa) and could not read the street signs, so he didn’t know where to take us.
They claim its “against their religion”.
(As if Islam was a legitimate religion)
It is too bad this is stuck in “Bloogers” category (even if it must be). This should get greater coverage. Hopefully, the media/talk radio will pick up on it. This is not the first time muslims have used cars as weapons in the past several years. I vaguely remember one in the Carolinas, a student IIRC.
