It does appear that former governor and GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah you betcha Palin will be throwing her beauty pageant sash into the presidential ring. She has added veteran Republican strategist Michael Glassner to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee, Sarah PAC, and steer her political operation. For the political insiders this is the strongest indication yet that Sarah Palin is seriously laying the groundwork for a serious bid for the white house. Unfortunately, she is probably the most disastrous of the current crop of possible GOP hopefuls and in my humble opinion would stand absolutely no chance in the general election. I will even venture to say that I dont think shell make it out of the primaries. She is mistaking the general support the Right gives her as a person of character and cheerleader Tea Party as political support for a presidential bid. I submit to you the two are not the same and she will find this out the hard way. And if by some miracle she were to get the nod to lead the Republican party into the next general election we will witness a most embarrassing of electoral trouncings since Mondale got crushed by Reagan.
I defend Palin vigorously from the hatred and smears from the Left and admire her commitment to what is right and true. For the most part I share her politics, values, and ideology. And I think she makes a great fundraiser and cheerleader for the Right in general and the Tea Party in particular. But she had her chance for glory and success on the national stage and frankly blew it.

BTW, I noticed that Dave praised Obama’s campaign skills. I wouldn’t vote for him or any other politician nominated by either political party. They’re all socialists for their favored constituents, mostly people who get their incomes either directly or indirectly from overspending, over-regulating government.
This proud Infidel likes the idea.
“I agree with you. I like Palin, but shes one example of the MSM being successful at ruining somebody. She stands absolutely zero chance at being elected by the general electorate.”
This is how I feel too. Palin would be a fine President, but she can’t be elected. The neo-Marxist media’s constant drumbeat of hatred against her has penetrated far too many weak minds. Her poll negatives are through the roof. If Palin does manage to be nominated, this will simple be a repeat of Sharron Angle, Ken Buck and Christine O’Donnell disasters, only at the national level.
The stakes are too high to go with someone that’s almost sure to lose. On the other hand, we do not want a RINO like Rommney. Personally, I think Michelle Bachmann would be a great President.
Also, I still think there’s some chance that Sarah Palin will run simply to act as a lightening rod for the negativity of the neo-Marxist press. After all, they can’t attack everyone all the time, so if they focus on Palin, it leaves Michelle Bachmann and others relatively unscathed in the public mind. I think Palin is both clever enough and patriotic enough to do this, particularly since I think she is smart enough to know she can not be elected.
I think there’s a possibility that Palin may be choosing to be the sacrificial lamb, and if this is the case, and the Pubs do take Prez, then you can bet Sarah Palin is going to be appointed to a primo cabinet post or better!
Most disastrous of the current crop of possible GOP hopefuls?
Massachusetts RomenyCare Romney, hands down.
Divorced-his-cancer-wife/Scuzzafava-endorser Gingrich, close second.
Very true and their malicious slanders will only grow worse if she actually announces. I think she's great but not yet Presidential material.
She has very strong appeal to conservatives but the rub is that independents decide elections, not conservatives. We have to win in 2012! Unless we field a candidate with strong crossover appeal (and elect a veto-proof majority in the Senate) the next 4 years under Dear Leader will give him plenty of time to pack the Supreme Court, appoint a host of new czars and turn the U.S. into a fascist/socialist dictatorship. I honestly don't think I'm exaggerating.
Me, too!
And what was your point TheConservativeCitizen?
You angry because she’s prettier than you?
Why the heck did you stick your Troll neck out from under the bridge anyway?
Sounds like you have bought the BS from msm.Nobody buys their shit and you dont need to either. You’ve been here a couple of months.Try harder to be conservative will you?
.
Obviously self-appointed and self-annointed political genius
.
and you think the media will not do the same to the next gop hopeful? you think they will allow mitt or Newt or christie to skate by without mudslinging and character destruction? If Palin withdrawls it means the media wins and will only redouble their attacks on the next person in line. It is why bush should have fought back.
What a disgusting bullshit idea.
Conservatives need to find a candidate that actually has a reasonable shot at beating Obama. Handing him the white house in two years should not be an option.
I didn’t go to his site, but this thread is moving fast!! There are a number of similar threads tonight and many Ron Paul ones.
and who will that be and will you abandon him/her as quickly as you wish to abandon Palin. you will run away from every conservative candidate when the media directs their fire at him/her. yellow.
Read your history before posting gibberish. Republican candidates have been to the MSM “idiots” since at least Eisenhower.
You mean the fudgePAC poll? Who cares these days? They have been infiltrated by the muzzis and the poofters.
