Sure does bring back good memories. Thinking back, it was so great having a real President who genuinely liked America and the American people.
Makes me cry when I think of what is in our WH now.

As she stood saluting at perfect attention. It is amazing and gives me great hope for our country to see the young having so much affection for the greatest president of our lives. A lot of these young people were not yet even born when Reagan was our president.

I saw Lee Greenwood one time when living in Omaha NE during Reagan’s Presidency and I got goosebumps all over listening to it and still do to this day.

Truly one of the most touching pictures I have every seen. Brought tears on my eyes.

I didn’t see the shot of her crying but I saw the teared stained streak down her cheek. I watched the whole tribute. Wonderful . . . and the whole family is enjoying a huge container of jelly beans I bought at Costco on Friday afternoon . . . better than birthday cake. :)

It gives me hope, too.
She’s proud, and strong, and has a good heart.
She’s not even my daughter, but I’m proud as punch of her!

Saw it live, and it’s my thinking she got emotional over Nancy’s very frail condition.

I'll paraphrase one of my heroes to honor another. Gen. George Patton said something to the effect of "we shouldn't mourn the passing of heroes, rather we should thank God that such men lived." I can't think of better words to apply to both Gen. Patton and President Reagan.
