Excellent rant.
I remember the summer-fall of 2008, when listening to Rush, he’d sometimes say softly “We are SO screwed.” when he was discussing McCain. We were screwed. So screwed.
What an insult to conservatives to have the very man who poked us in the eye for years and years (McCain-Feingold, etc etc) be the repub nominee for Prez. It was unbearable.
The GOP-RNC may as well have given us someone with an actual “D” behind their name because that’s what McCain is anyway.
My husband and I were totally in the pits about it, until the morning we heard Sarah Palin for the first time, at the speech she gave when McCain introduced her as the VP running mate. I was instantly inspired by her, and I knew she was the real deal, a feeling that has only deepened with every passing day since then.
Near the end of the campaign, I was devastated to hear McCain say of his supposed opponent “America has nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.”
WTF? I mean W T F? McCain was still running (supposedly) and he practically conceded with that one statement.
He never even wanted to win. He never once even uttered Barry Soetoro’s full alias Barack HUSSEIN Obama. That was too rude for McCain’s fine sensibilities I guess.
No one is a better example of the term RINO than McCain.
If the RNC-GOP offers up another rotten egg like that again in 2012, they and we as Americans are toast. We’ll be lucky to survive until Jan.20th, 2013. That’s where McCain and his ilk have gotten us. GW Bush’s “let’s all just get along” crap fueled the RINO fire as they burned down conservatism and left us with 2 choices to vote for: a democrat commie, and democrat lite McCain.
Exactly Bush and McCain are the same people the so called rift that is there is all bs.
Can you name one policy difference between the two?
No they are both for advancing the statist agenda.
