Everyone ought to change their tagline to one of their favorite Reagan quotes this week to honor the Gipper. I would like to do that, but the system won't let me use a tagline that long, so I'll just post it here:
"Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility."

I think my two favorite Reagan quotes (paraphrased) were from his debates with Mondale. When the press was saying Reagan was too old, and asked him about the "age" issue in the election, he said, "I will not make an issue of the youth and inexperience of my opponent."
The other was when Mondale was protesting that he was for a strong national defense. Reagan quipped, "Yes, I've seen your ads showing you on the aircraft carrier. It's a good thing you didn't get your way or you'd have been in deep water out there. You voted against that carrier four times."
