Like former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Lyndon Johnson before him, in 1980 and 1968 respectively, Barack Obama will not be reelected in 2012.[2] The twin pincers of a domestic economy in the throes of the Great Depression II[3]which economic historians will describe as such, or by using similar terms 20-40 years from nowand his failed Vietnam-like Afghan war[4] will seal his political fate. Other factors will contribute mightily too, such as the perception that he is out of touch just as Jimmy Carter was; and that Obama is a silver-tongued, narcissistic foreign born demagogue who is un-American.[5] Perceptions often become reality, certainly in politics.
We are witnessing the end of Obama as a politician now. The zenith of his presidency occurred with the enactment of ObamaCare, just as Hillary Clintons health care efforts marked the high water mark of her influence during Bill Clintons presidency. Obamas nadir is yet to come, but the 2010 mid-term election debacle represented an important milestone on the slippery downward slope of his presidency. The domestic economy will get far worse; his Afghan war is a morass that seems unwinnable and inescapable; and national security issues loomsuch as North Korea and Iranwhich may prove hazardous at best.
Never underestimate the gullibility of the American voter.
“his failed Vietnam-like Afghan war”
I’d like to know how many people actually see it like that.
The cat’s out of the bag on this dweeb.
Wrong.
Obama just needs to convince enough people that he’s “taking care of them” through crisis, and he’s in. I mean, thing about it. Despite the Depression, FDR managed to re-elected in 1936 and 1940.
Or, if there is any recovery (despite Obama’s best efforts...) he’s in.
My preference is to have Obama out of office before an election removes him. With the political undercurrent about his eligibility swelling it just might happen. He can take his family and enablers anywhere in the world ,perhaps Kenya, just as long he is not eligible for lifetime POTUSA benefits.
HE controls the media and TV. They all love him. He could get reelected. Unless they check the BC in 5 states then he may win.
The same was thought of Clinton back in 1995.
Add to the fact the average American voter is now — by design — far more dumbed-down than previous generations. I’d venture to say most aren’t even paying attention to what’s occurring overseas... hell, they’re not even raising a stink about $3-a-gallon gas prices.
Understanding, awareness and the education to gain them are just not part of the mix these days... and the dems like it that way. Their credo is: “Keep the Sheeple just happy enough to give you their vote. But under NO circumstances should they ever see the light!”
Apathy and ignorance — notoriously hard to shake in America — are 0bama’s ticket to a second term.
But the damage he can do in 2 more years is awesome.
I don’t think he will even run in 2012. I have not seen his re-election team ramping up yet. They say Moochelle is scoping out mansions in Hawaii. When push comes to shove and Barry has to face 5 or more states with their hands out for the Long form BC he will fold. Plus his secrets will be leaking out by then. You can only keep that many secrets for so long. I think he has a lot of secrets.
When a wife starts looking around for a new house, it means something. We just don’t know what.
The key to a second Baraq win is a Clintonian plurality similar to 1992.
I totally agree that no way he wins in a straight up two way race.
Scenario 1: Romney nominated, Tea Party candidate comes on strong and splits anti-Baraq vote.
Scenario 2: Conservative nominated, Soros and MSM push an “independent” candidate to split the anti-Baraq vote.
I believe Baraq has rock solid support in the 32-35% region.
That blows my mind.
The writer speaks of the November 2010 midterms in the past-tense, but the article was suppoesedly published in March of last year.
You sure the publication date is correct?

This may be encouraging, but remember, the Republicans aren’t called the Stupid Party for nothing. In 1948, they had the bases loaded, but instead of sending in their Babe Ruth (Taft), they sent in their bat boy (Dewey). If the GOP picks a Romney, a Gingrich or a Giuliani as its presidential standard bearer, it could once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
